I just look at Boston, and the teams that beat them are physical and have a big man who can dominate. I think Giannis and Embiid are the guys they worry about .

I was also of thought
It was the greek freak (bucks) or celtics winning the finals this year
That seems to be the case
I feel like bucks and celtics will be winning the next 4-5 championships who ever of them gets out of the east
I have 0 faith in philly , miami will be there, and not worried about brooklyn

Curry was in the game already when Celtics made a 17-0 run Warriors still up by 3 then Steph responded with 3 bricks like he always does when he's under pressure and didn't score a single point for the last 6 minutes of the game. He dance and shimmy when they are overwhelming favorite against inferior teams then folds when the going gets tough. They lose Game 1 where Tatum had a terrible shooting night. Whenever he play this bad Including last Playoffs when he shot less than 41% from the field, he responded next game with 50 pts, 39 pts, 29 pts, 30 pts, 46 pts, 31 pts and 30 pts game. Let's see how GSW respond in Game 2. Looking forward for another great game.
If he was, my mistake but Celtics crushed the Warriors 12 point lead early in the 4th while Curry was sitting. It was single possession game by the time he entered I believe and Celtics were in rhythm.
I believe Wiggins was sitting too. Meanwhile, Tatum, Brown and I believe Horford were all in.
As a Warriors fan, I take Tatum scoring 30+ on high efficiency over Celtics role players shooting 17/26 from 3 + the team as a whole at 9/11 from 3 in the 4th quarter. Every single time. It’s not even close.
You keep saying this but I have high doubts Warriors shoot better than that as well. They’ve only hit 20+ 3’s once this playoffs and it was at a way worse percentage.
You could see the Celtics had so many lapses on defense in the first quarter on Curry, I just can’t see him getting those types of looks again. The thing is, once the 3’s aren’t dropping for the Warriors, where does the offense come from?

I presume Smart stayed on the bench because BOTH White and Pritchard were playing well, and because Smart himself is playing through injury.

And White is a better playmaker in general and has been on a hot shooting streak since his son was born. In general when we are not playing the Warriors and White isn't shooting out of his mind, Smart is the better player and fits better next to Brown.
That said, no need for either/or. The best Celtics lineup this playoffs has been White/Smart/Brown/Tatum/Horford.
Do you mind sharing your perspective on why Robert Williams hasn't been part of the top 5 impactful Celtics players, or rather, part of their teams best line for the Playoffs?
Is it the injury? Or the added spacing?
Injury. 100%. He came back 5 1/2 weeks after surgery.
Not just the surgery. The new injury he got from Giannis seems to be more ... impactful.

Re: 2022 NBA Finals | (3) GSW VS. (2) BOS (BOS 1-0)
Hate to say it, but I’ve had Celtics winning it all since Tatum’s buzzer beater of Game 1 against the Nets.
Sounds funny and naive, but I’ll explain why.
These Celtics road to title reminds me of lasts year Bucks title run.
Game 1, 1st round in Milwaukee against the Miami Heat, against a team that beat the Bucks in 2020. Khris Middleton makes a game winning shot in the OT and they celebrate it like crazy. That game gave them so much confidence that the Bucks swept the Heat.
Same with Celtics this year. Game 1 first round. Tatum’s buzzer beater against a very good Nets team. They celebrate like crazy. That gave them confidence as well. Swept them.
Then, last year in the in semis Bucks beat a title contender Nets team in Game 7 (injured Kyrie and Harden)
This year Celtics beat a title contender Bucks team (injured Middleton).
Now they play without HCA against an excellent West team. I’m sticking with my prediction.
This Celtics are elite. 2022 NBA champs to me.

Seriously did someone just say the Celtics are worried about Embiid? Horford owns his soul...literally. Anyways I had Celtics in 7 but after game 1 im gonna revise it to Celtics in 5.

Correct, White and Pritchard were playing well as a combo. It was also a surprise to see Pritch guarding Steph pretty well, Steph couldn't drive past him much. He seems to fit the profile of Delly and FVV, who have given Steph problems in the past.
This looks like a Pritchard series too. Having him out there as a possible Curry defender and another shooter to space the floor is just massive for the Celtics. The floor had so much spacing in the 4th when the Celtics went small with him and White out there.

I feel his team helped blow out his knee. They would throw the ball up in the general direction of the hoop and that guy would go get it and slamma jamma it home. I think they perhaps over did it. Some of the lobs were crazy, but he went up and got it virtually every time and crammed it with force. Game 1 looked to me like he felt better than he did in Miami, where he was visibly limping up and down the court. As well as seeming to have problems with focus. Which is understandable if your knee is hurting you alot while you're trying to perform. Against GS he clearly had more confidence, focus, energy and health. GS better hope for nothing better than 70% from him. That guy really is awesome when he feels good. He's got the rare ability to seemingly leap without having to gather. He just springs up. Think he has something like a 7'4 wingspan with that quick leap it catches opponents by surprise. He jumps out and deflects 3pt shots. I saw clips of him trying to sucker Curry by backpedalling, feeling good enough to feel he could spring up and out at the last minute. Shows he definitely is feeling better. I hope he continues to feel better because that will beyond a shadow of a doubt make GS life much much more difficult. A lot more.

They only way I see Philly (as currently constructed) in the Finals, only if the Bucks beat the Celtics and we beat the Bucks (we match up better against them). But as of today, Bucks and Celtics are better.

Sometimes Timelord is so good defensively that he reminds me of Russell. It's not just the shots he actually blocks, it's the intimidation.

Sorry, but with this year's version of Harden, Sixers still aren't beating these Celtics. Tatum and Brown will feast on his defensive lapses, and their physicality will probably bother him.
I do hope Harden comes back stronger next year though. He's gotta fix his conditioning and his weight, because he looked downright washed this year. Embiid's prime is being wasted, and I'd hate to see him demand a trade and end up on the Heat or something.

He did something that I lol'd at literally. I mean I really laughed. I can't remember the who, when, or whom but I distinctly remember what he did. It was on the right side of the bucket and someone tried a bank. He went up and blocked, or actually deflected the ball with one hand, and finished blocking the shot against the backboard with the other hand. Wonder if the stat man counted it as two blocks? He is a special talent. Regrettably he seems fragile. Gets hurt. In my heart I don't think he'll last. Have any longevity. And that'd be a real and true crying shame to lose that amazing talent and ability he has.
***Oh and anybody that thinks I'm exaggerating or gushing take a look at some youtubes of his highlights. They really are something.
***Hadda go take a look myself again. Some of his blocks were like volleyball spikes. LOL. Yeah, he's special. And GS better not hope to see him over 60-70% healthy. Because that's when the "magic" is more likely to summon. And GS doesn't want THAT to happen. Oh no no no they really don't.

Don’t be sorry, I agree, this years Sixers are worse then Celtics.
I do hope Harden comes back as well and I want to see Maxey in year 3. And we need good role players around them. Morey’s got a lot of work to do.
Back to NBA Finals: I can’t believe I’m rooting for Celtics because I predicted Celtics to win it all after they were leading 2-0 against Brooklyn. All of my friends said no way. They were laughing at me. I want to have that last laugh so badly lol.

Yeah well the real deal truth is the Celtics are basketball equivalent of a box of chocolates. Really and truly. Nobody knows what they will get next game. Nobody. At their best.........woo boy. At their worst.....again woo boy, but opposite. But I think the weaker defense of GS might change things. Thats why I said we'll have a clearer picture game 2-3. Don't expect anything like game 1 again. That's in the history books. And both teams made history as well as the Celtics in the 4th. We'll see when we see and no predictions or prognostications means a damn thing. Really. At least with these Celtics.

Yeah it was bad
I mean it makes sense to pick someone from the other team and make them shoot to beat you, but the whole idea is to use that defender somewhere else, not just leave your man open and just stand there looking at him.
