I don't think a guy like Dyson is worth it. If you can talk to the Kings and get Ivey or Sharpe I'm more interested

Spida888 wrote:Who do you guys think has the higher upside: Precious or OG? At the beginning of the season, I would think OG without a question, but now I lean towards Precious based on what he's shown in the 2nd half of the season.
Precious is already a really good defender, but offensively he's out of control and needs more reps. Nice thing is he'll be a RFA after his rookie contract and we're more likely to keep him long term. With OG there's no guarantee he'll stay.
I'm not saying we HAVE to trade OG, but rather if we do get a good offer, it doesn't concern me as much knowing we have Precious.
I still think we won't trade OG this season because of Fred and Gary's contract situations. We probably try to extend OG next season, and if he declines, we may trade him then albeit he may have less value then.
This is a really tough question as they are both so different. If everything clicks for Precious, he could be a Pascal Siakam esque player. If everything clicks for OG, you could have a Paul George esque player.
I think the biggest sign of a player taking that next step is when the game slows down for them. Both OG and Precious seem rushed while they play. Siakam always feels like he's in control and in turn, the game slows down for him. Barnes already shows this which is wild.
Both OG and Precious are going to have decent careers and will continue to get better. OG's handles and playing out of control when he drives to the basket is my biggest concern with him. This will be his biggest hinderance from taking that next step.

I'm getting the feeling they have Dyson ahead of both.

OG is a good player that represents good value for us. He’s also too overrated by this board. He’s injury prone, can’t dribble, and can’t create his own shot. He’s an above average starter but he’s not a foundational player. That being said I’d prefer we trade GTJ/FVV.

I went with the most hopeful example

I went with the most hopeful exampleYoung PG was a lights out shooter and a great defender. Injuries have obviously derailed is career. OG's feel for the game and ability to drive will have to significantly improve. I don't think OG will ever reach that level granted. OG could easily cap out as a rich Trevor Ariza
Yeah I don't think he will be like Paul George. Now if SAC or POR believes that, by all means let them

Based on history wouldn't be surprised I just really like those 2 especially Ivey. But obviously if the Raptors are trading a guy like OG for a pick I fully trust their judgment

Potentially a deal...OG is a good fit for blazers. But right player need to be available at draft

Re: [Jake Fisher] The word surrounding OG Anunoby’s trade candidacy
Im leaning towards making the Blazers deal for the #7 One of Ben Mathurin/Dyson Daniels will be there and idc which one we get im leaning more towards Ben Mathurin cause he fits the squad a little better and has the potential to be the best scorer in this draft class and thats something we need....
Dyson Daniels will take a little more time i think but has good potential...
I would be pushing for Simons/Hart to be included in the deal and give them Flynn + #33
FVV/(Dyson#7)/Simons/Banton
GTJR/(Mathurin#7)
Barnes/Hart
Siakam/Thad
Precious/Boucher/Birch
I think either rookie would fill a spot for us and balance our team out alot more and make us alot more deep of a team if we can get Simons/Hart back as well it would give us 2 elite role players off the bench who could each give you 15-20 points...
Either rookie id be fine with taking the gamble on i think all we would be missing is a legit C but maybe we could grab a cheap one like McGee or Bismack to just be able to bang with the bigger Cs in the league

If it's the 7th and Simons it is a no brainer. Simons averaged something like 24 ppg 6 ast and 4+ made threes a game in 2022 at 22 years old. Unfortunately that is a mega pipe dream.

Simons is bad defensively. Raptors would never ask for Simons

Watching Jordan Poole just get absolutely destroyed in the 4th quarter has reminded me why I really don't want shooters who are also pylons.

unfortunutely i think this OG trade talk for 7 is a longshot. I dont see Masai doing it and taking that risk hoping that player becomes better than OG. Not to mention we will be asking more than just 7 if Covington got more than that.
POR also looking at it by just adding Mathurin for free.
These deals are so tough.

These deals are so tough.
It would also be 8 years of control vs 2 years of control.
At a much lower salary.
And allowing you to build the team better.
I understand where you are coming from though. FVV/GTJ are already expiring contract so we might not want more immediate uncertainty.

it's an idea planted by the Blazers, they would obviously like to get OG for Hart + 7th pick.
They have a surplus of SGs but a hole at SF.
i doubt Raps will bite unless Portland throws in more

This comment is pretty ridiculous from Fischer. No GM is going to slam the phone down when an opposing team calls. It's their job to listen, to improve the team. But that's much different than saying the Raps are making OG available and actively looking to deal him which he's trying to peddle.
Fishcer said OG wanted out and being upset at his offensive role, not even about the team wanted to actively trade him. The fact he's trying to weasel out by saying see he's available is bizarre and suspicious.
Hearing from a league source that Masai didn’t hang up when called in response to the “report” does not mean OG is available. It just means that Masai used the opportunity to gage OG’s value on the market. That is smart GM’ing. Every opportunity to determine player value without shopping a player should be used to its fullest.
The ‘source’ called in response to Fisher’s ‘report’. He completely manufactured the entire phone call to try to justify his ‘reporting’.
Fisher is an idiot.

Cavs fan here. Would a deal of Allen for OG interest the Raptors? I know Toronto needs a 5 and Cleveland could use a wing. Allen is probably a better 5 than OG is a 3/4 but OG plays a more important position. It is a deal that I think could make sense for both teams. I know the organization and the fans in Cleveland absolutely love Allen, and I am sure Toronto loves OG, so it probably wouldn't happen.

OG is a great fit on most teams...and was our best playoff performer along with Pascal... Masai is not trading him ...

Nope
We'll take Mobley though
