I really don't understand this fan bases obsession with playing 5v4 the entire game.

He shouldn't get anything close to Robert Williams. I know some of the advanced stats disagree with me, but I don't see a player who makes his team better overall. I mean look at the teams left and tell me how you can play any lumbering five in this league anymore that isn't upper echelon offensive player? He's the defensive version of Boban. If the goal is to win in the playoffs, he will get played right off the court. I'd take Mo Bamba any day of the week, and I'm not exactly thrilled about him either.

That’s something you should be asking weaver he’s the one interested in signing him

Not much. He’s a solid rebounder, shot blocker, who makes the shots he takes. No range, awful at free throws, 7’ tall with a 7’4” wingspan. I honestly don’t understand the interest in him. 3/$30-33 million total. He gets more from someone else, cool. He might suddenly improve, but I just don’t get committing a ton of money to a center whose not one of the better ones in the league.

I’m basically on camp Bamba. I get there are obvious risks involved with him as well, but I think the upside is worth the risks as long as he’s not getting crazy money.

I don’t want either but if I had to pick Id take Bamba, but I think if we’re getting another big besides Bagley we should look to a vet like Ibaka

10mill a year robert williams makes 12mill warriors in the finals with Kevin Looney crushing it. Investing big in centers is not the way. I really would be fine with so many centers i dont even want Robinson

I'd go around 14mil a year at the highest

It not about going 5v4 all game we can literally play him like 25min+ and go small. We'd be paying him bench player money to basically be a part time starter. It'd make us a more versatile team.

11-12mil.

less than what Olynk got.

I disagree that he's a lumbering big man. He closes out on threes well and is one the best shot blockers on closeouts because of his length and speed. He's 70% fg albeit around the rim. His best point guard he's had is Kemba Walker and Derrick Rose in his 4 years in New York so some room for improvement.

If he’s getting 25 minutes and you acknowledge that he’s not offensive contributor then I’m not sure why you want him for 14 million.

To me he’s a pretty average player.

He's a vertical threat and a good offensive rebounder that's good enough on offense for a center he isn't a negative on that end but is limited.

Cade made Bagley look pretty good and the Pistons in general have had to learn how to feed Stewart because he can't get up for lobs and quick, crafty passes aren't always caught by him.

Get a guy like Robinson who can catch anything up and around the rim with the best PG he has ever played with, he gets 12 points a game without even thinking. I wouldnt be surprised if he got 16 points a game. Plus blocks.

I would much rather have Robinson at whatever we gave KO.

I'm also a fan of getting 13 or 15 in round 1 and trying to get Duren or Mark Williams.

This team gets better with a legit 7 fter with a 7+ wingspan that can switch on defense.

Lumbering big men biggest problem is they don't close out on threes and todays league that kills teams especially in the playoffs like Gobert. His drop coverage was totally exploited. Mitchell Robinson is quicker and uses his length to close out.

Probably around 10-12 but he's still not a ideal type of starting big.

I think most teams over the cap would pay him the 10 mil exception salary. I think we'll have to pay over that to separate us from them. I think he might take a shorter prove it deal that would align with the new TV deal too. The mid level exception with the new TV deal should be around $15 mil.

I do not want this guy. Injury prone, can't play 30+ minutes because he's too foul prone. And like Cow said I don't wanna play 5 on 4.

I don't know why we don't have more interest in Mo Bamba, but I truly wish we did.

Agreed, I dont see him as any significant upgrade over Stew or Bagley.
