Tatum is 4-22 from 2P. Tight and very tight 4-18 from 2P. For me its excellent defence.

You can't rely on overall results when you evaluate defense. Most of those 20 misses from 2P, Wiggins was not even defending Tatum. In Game 2, Wiggins was not the defender for any of Tatum's misses from the 2P (in one 2 pointer miss, Tatum was backing Wiggins down when Draymond came to double and blocked Tatum).

I see these numbers: Tatum 2-8 from 2P against Wiggs....

Wiggins a good defender, but Tatum missing lot of shots that he usually makes. Be careful thinking that its the defense solely causing it.

We'll see when you get back to Boston how Tatum plays.

I agree. 8-)

They've had 2 really bad games in each of the last 2 series.

If they can hold serve at home tho, I feel they can win this series.
Good assessment:

Turnovers have been an issue for the Celtics throughout the playoffs. They do seem to corect the issue for the following game but it is a concern because they continue to have these weird turnover prone games. I

It will come down to Tatum/Brown but paticulary Tatum looking to pass off a scoring attempt instead of looking for the fouls. Tatum has got to get into the paint and put pressure on rim

Too many turnovers in game2 for us (Celtics)

It has been typical through these po for us having such blackouts

We aren’t the ones of 4/4 ofgame 1 but we aren’t the ones of game 2 either

No way. Especially since they have to travel from coast to coast. 1 day off would produce an inferior product.

Hopefully after a strong summer workout he will be back closer to normal for another finals run.

Klay's numbers in the playoffs this year: 19.1/4.1/2.3 44%/39%

Correct. Below league average TS% (55.4), a 14.5 PER, .076 WS/48, 0.6 BPM 19/4/2 with slightly below average defense.

He will blow up for a big shooting night once or twice in a series, but is generally a liability otherwise. It is what it is dude. At least he's playing again.

His playoff career is 19.3/4/2,2 44%, 41%. TS% 55,9.

KD Warriors easily. Curry/Klay/Iguodala/Durant/Green could possibly be the best prime lineup of all-time.
taking into consideration the rest of the team... I don't know it's pretty close... remember the Warriors today are pretty loaded, they where louded back then also, but not as much as this one

The problem is that kerr doesn't know who to play, back then he didn't have a choice sometimes

To me that the difference and this series... Boston is a tight Unit were everybody knows what to do... Warriors are pretty talented mess with a winning formula in the back pocket

Coast to coast I get and is ok. However, it’s an even 3 between every game.

So many guys still don't understand basketball and the importance of rhythm.

Great defenses and defenders make it hard early...speed you up...put you off your rhythm. That set's you up for having a bad game EVEN when you are wide open. Hello???? Game confidence is also a thing...and if you start missing early it's hard to reestablish that confidence for the game.

I don't know if the poster is just looking for reasons to support a flawed agenda or if they actually believe that excellent defensive pressure in some possessions have literally nothing to do with other possessions :(

If you have ever played basketball you know that a soft defense can help get you into a free flowing rhythm and a tough defense can mess you up for the game....EVEN when open.

Oh so sorry didn't realize Wiggins leaving Tatum wide open all the time was some big brain basketball strategy to disrupt Tatum's rhythm.

gotta see Game 3. Had Celtics in 6 at beginning because they are bigger, more athletic team. Nothing have seen in two games has made me rethink that, but nothing i have seen has given me any sense of what works ad doesnt work for each team.

Just weird ass games,

First two games even first halves then mind boggling second halves.

Neither team is as volatile as the scores in those games.

At least we get Game 3 on Wednesday and Game 4 on Friday. Would have been nice to do the same thing between Game 1 and Game 2. But every game besides those requires travel in between due to the 2-2-1-1-1 format.

The Celtics are on their way to completely shattering the finals team 3 point %. They are currently at 45%. The record was set by the Indiana Pacers at 42%

I had absolutely no clue the Celtics had this many 3 point snipers. It seems like they have found the hidden power of the 3 once the playoffs started, with every single one of their players shooting a season high from 3 all at the same time.

This is essentially who Klay is which is why it's crazy to me that people think that 2015-2016 that the warriors were stacked.

I think they are 2nd in 3 point shootung since January so it isnt a new phenomenon. I believe it is because of their ball movement and multiple rim pressures to get the ball to swing from side to side. When the Celtics get great ball movement the ball has energy and more players get into a rhythm.
