Between hitting a fan with his mouth guard after getting ejected in an elimination game and this, Miles really could use some PR lessons.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but "...codeine is listed under the drugs of abuse category, and a player could be facing a 2-year ban for using it." Did not know that.

There's no off-season drug testing - should make for some very interesting convos between Miles and the FO.

MJ needs to call up John Lucas to come have a sit down chat with all of our young guys.

Saw somewhere where him and Morant were having a back and forth with their little drink. Last thing the NBA wants is the potential face of the league in Morant doing that. Wouldn't be surprised if the league reaches out to both of them.

So funny - I didn't even notice the drink. I thought all the hoohar was about the joint.

Not only did I not notice the drink I wouldn't have unless others just pointed it out.

I noticed the weed that Miles was holding but not the drink. We don't drink that kind of **** in my part of the world so I had no idea what that was lol.

"Pink Lemonade" is hilarious. When (or where) did Miles use that lame excuse?

**** **** ****

On that note, why was Monk's suspension just indefinite rather than automatic 2 years? Could the same possibly apply to Miles if he were to fail a drug test from the league?

I seriously can't believe we're having this discussion, what the actual **** Miles

Weird thing was the drink was the focal point of the pic. Joints just chilling to the side. That ain't no damn pink lemonade.

For example, weed is legal up here so if he was in Ottawa when it was taken - no harm, no foul.

indicative of being an immature dumbass. coupled with the mouthpiece thing and you maybe start to project a pattern.

IDC about the weed. smoke as much of the devil's lettuce as you want big guy. Lean is definitely a little more concerning, but again, the fact that he's posting this crap on the internet is the major thing.

I've talked before about how stupid and immature these guys are. it shows in their lackluster defensive effort/awareness and it's reinforced by posting all this **** for the world to see.

somewhat ofconcern considering we may be paying him 100+million soon.

EDIT: wow! i didn't notice the extra discussion. I'm late to the party

To do whatever he is doing is one thing, to post it on social media, while being a free agent, is something only an idiot would do.

Hopefully the immaturity of the other players doesn't rub off on Kai and Thor.

You can be addicted to lean, it's an opioid. Hopefully Miles isn't.

If the NBA did find out it was somehow lean, which they won't since thank God he can't be drug tested in the offseason he would get a hefty, hefty suspension. Hope this is a great learning lesson for him.

I doubt he is but damn dude, how dumb is it to self post that kinda stuff while looking for a big pay day. I like Miles but him and the whole organization needs to tighten things up a bit. Work harder on D, provide more social media training, hold each other accountable, etc.

Just posting thishopefully as a joke (as it should not be that bad)...

But yeah, if the FO is serious, they should react accordingly asap before it goes out of hands.

Glad to be euro, opioids are not seemingly "delivered like candies" by docs here (even though i assume some labs will try to lobby for it). I doubt we have anything else than morphine based medecine (not pretending to be a specialist though).

Got bad news amigo:

https://www.sportscasting.com/how-often-does-the-nba-test-players-for-drugs/

According to the agreement between the NBA and the union, players can be randomly tested up to four times during the season and twice during the offseason, with half the tests for human growth hormone. The total number of tests for the entire league is capped at 2,125 – or an average of around four per player. Refusing a test is treated the same as a positive result.

Wow. This is a plot thickener.
