Its people like you who throw out this 'woke' term so casually that makes this 'anti-woke' movement such a joke. We all know what 'woke' means these days - anything that doesn't follow your own views of the world.

Best ball player to come out of Minnesota in the past few years.

Isn't Chet from Minnesota?

I guess she is better than Suggs though

I don't have high hopes for Holmgren.

Nope. It's anything that goes against reality. Yet weirdos try to justify it. You know, l ID as X, when I'm really X. Or the wnba is a good product.

i disagree. woke is anything that's so absurd that doesn't follow normal logic.

the problem with the current climate on anything is that every single opinion has been politicized to create division, anger and generate clicks online:

masks
lgtbq
wnba
blm
police

the media companies get rich while everyone posts their opinions online thinking they'll change the behaviour of the next person. the ceo's of these huge corps are laughing and wiping their asses with $100 bills while reading your tweets because you get mad that someone doesn't wanna take a covid shot.

people are free to think how they want and telling someone "you need to watch the wnba to support women" will do absolutely nothing to help women and instead piss off a bunch of people who wanna do what they wanna do.. if that's watch the nba and ignore the wnba, then that's fine.

i don't understand the reasoning behind having everyone thinking the same, talking the same, acting the same and living the same. we don't live in a utopia and we never will.

This whole player x from LA fitness can mop the floor with any of the females in the WNBA is stupid and means nothing. NBA players respect the athletes of the WNBA.

Just give us an expansion team the year Paige Bueckers is a draft eligible, and give us the first pick.

They actually don't. Tmac suggested they lower the rim to 9 feet so they can be dunking regularly. When the woman who's stuck in Russia said she can beat D cousins one on one, and she's a better player, he literally called her a pot head. They're not even on the level of a D3 NCAA player. Stop this woke nonsense. They don't take their game or league seriously.

Man cry to someone who actually cares or wanna listen to your pettiness. D3 players are not beating Sue bird / Candace Parker / Turasi ect ect ect. Even so, what does it matter to you, how does this form or "wokeness" affect you in any such way. Don't wanna watch, then don't. No1 is forcing you to comply with anything.

Have a good day

The top high school player in North America would smoke wnba players. Imagine them trying to guard D Howard or Lebron when they were in high school. Don't kid yourself man.

There's nothing inherently wrong with women's sports as entertainment. I can enjoy watching women's tennis, especially this new Leylah Fernandez. Watching Bianca end Serena's career was fun. I enjoy watching the women's soccer and hockey NTs, and I don't even like hockey.

Basketball is a bit different because if favours physical freaks. Lowering the net by 6 inches would actually be a pretty good idea. But if Toronto had a WNBA team to support, I'd watch it more than I watch MLB baseball or NFL football because I like basketball.

Who's comparing NBA prospects to WNBA players other than yourself.

Depends on what you like when you're watching the game. You'll see way more dribble/floor game highlights in the WNBA than in the NBA imo.

I think it would be at S B.

No it wouldn't. I caught a Sparks game the other day. The stadium was literally empty. It was embarrassing. The best part was DeRozan bringing his daughter to the game. She actually fell asleep during the game. It was funny.

I think it’s a great idea.
Their target market may not be on this forum.

I bet there are a ton of women who would like someone they can relate to to cheer for.

I’ll watch and go to games.

They should use the 905 arena in sauga.

These women haven't came out to see the games since the league started. That's actually the issue. Women don't even support women sports like that.

If Drake has ownership in the womens team I would look to buy a large amount of stock.

Return to Toronto Raptors
