You're most likely getting:

That's 25 guys. Before the draft starts, you need to trim your roster down to 20 guys(need to cut 5).
Then whenever you take advantage of a pick, you need to cut a player as well(so you don't surpass more than 20 bodies overall on your team).
You own #7 and #18 in this year's draft. Keep in mind when drafting and dropping guys, this is a dynasty league with no keepers.
You'll inherit the same roster sans the moves you make year in and year out.
If you don't like the players from this draft I'm interested in dealing for #7.
Thanks for the heads up. Will definitely be looking to shake the squad up a little bit.
Reading back through the read, I assume the additional 5 guys on the team are due to the INJ status of other players?
Is there a list of rules for the league in a past thread or is it all laid out in the Yahoo (once I hopefully have access)?
Yeah. Once our rosters are set on Yahoo, you get 5 IL spots(3 IL+ and 2 IL). You can then add additional players if you have guys who are injured.
So technically you can carry 25 players at a time, but at the beginning of the season when Ty manually uploads the rosters on Yahoo, the number needs to be 20.
Some of the rules:
-H2H 20 week regular season schedule. 6 team playoffs, first two seeds get bye's in the first round
-6 roster transactions per week
-you can only trade your picks one year in advance(so if you want to make trades with picks involved, you can only trade the 2023 picks right now)
-the yearly rookie draft is a snake draft. Lottery odds are all the same, the non 6 playoff teams get the same ping pong balls to discourage tanking
-in the draft you can either select guys from the upcoming rookie pool, or guys who are on the league's waiver wire
