I'm down for this if Chet isn't the pick.jezzerinho wrote:Koloko and Procida with the second rounders would make me pretty happy.

It’s continuing to verge on being one of the most lopsided trades in recent memory.
WCJ’s trajectory suggest he may legitimately be a better player than Vuc next year, if he wasn’t already last year (which there is a case for).
Kevin O'Connor is reporting they're also looking at Mitchell Robinson. Vuc might reunite with his old buddy.tiderulz wrote:PrimeThyme wrote:That Vuc trade continues to age like the finest wine. well, Ayton or Gobert makes Chicago better, which makes our pick from them worse. so not sure how it ages like a fine wine

It’s pretty simple. They moved Vuc to compete. That blew up in their face the first season and got us the 8th overall pick. WCJ was a throw in, && turns out to possibly be even better than Vuc.
Now they have to trade Vuc plus more assets to acquire a center, which may or may not make them better. Gobert probably does, but Ayton is questionable. Lavine could bolt in the off-season. Lonzo has chronic knee issues.
The East is assuredly better next season. Even with that acquisition they aren’t a certified playoff team. I can guarantee you at the time of the trade they expected to be.

Mannnn if Chicago did nothing at last years trade deadline, they could have had:
Lonzo
Lavine
DeRozan
Franz
Carter
plus their 1st round pick this coming season.

Wasn't it widely reported that DDR would.not have signed with CHi if Vuc AND Lavine weren't there? Meaning they weren't serious about competing? You might say if they didn't get Vuc, they wouldn't have made those ball, ddr, caruso signings...

Possibly but are you willing to buy something super expensive without seeing it first? It's the same concept here. I was pretty high on Sharpe but the continuous secrecy even through the draft process is pretty off-putting.
