We're going to have more executives than players at this rate.

I think we've passed the point of having too many cooks in the kitchen.
What is the point of all these executives to make what end up being so few decisions?
I thought we just backed the truck up for a guy who is at the peak of his profession and first thing he does is hire a bunch more people to further dilute the decision making process.
I get if you want an up and comer with a knack for analytics or an alternate view, but hiring your former boss as your underling is never a good business decision.

Why are people acting like this is a problem? The more information we have access to the better. Glad to see us adding more knowledge to the organization.

Agreed. We’re so used to being a 2nd rate franchise, we don’t know what to make of a full front office.

Looks like we are creating a superteam of executives. Don't really know much about his work to make a comment. Hope it works out

Dell Demps was considered one of the league’s worst GM’s when he was with the Pels, but who knows? I am in favor of Connelly’s collaborative approach, so maybe he brings a different perspective, but one that can be outvoted if it’s wrong.

Was Demps the one who acquired Holiday for Noel?

Have to admit I don't know much about Demps - Will have to have a bit of a search on him when I get home from work

I skimmed this, and it looks like a decent summary of Demps as GM of the Pels.

Prior to 2010, he was very much where Sachin is now. Highly thought of member of the Spurs front office.

More people gathering information the better. I won’t be too harsh for his Pels time. That’s thing was a dumpster fire while the team was owned by the NBA. We have no idea what kind of directives the league office was giving him.

The first guy that said he expected Demps to join Connelly also said he expects Darrell Arthur to come aboard. I wonder if he’s next.

David Stern once called Dell Demps "a lousy GM." Then again, David Stern once recommended that Glen Taylor hire David Kahn.

Demps had the job of trying to build a super team around AD. The Holiday trade was great. Cousins looked solid as well if he didn't get hurt. He tried hard to keep his star happy.

That being said, he's probably third or fourth in the pecking order, so he will probably help out and consult, but TC will make the final call, and I assume Lloyd will have his ear more than Dell.

Demps comes in having an understanding of this time of transition in the franchise. When New Orleans hired him in 2010, they already had a coach in place (hired six weeks earlier) and they were a franchise up for sale. We are a little more entrenched in both departments, but it's still a transition nonetheless. They also had an unhappy star, while there is some speculation here in factions about the longevity and loyalty of our star.
