This thread needs a poll

Right now I have Brown as Celtics MVP.

It feels like he drops 10-14 in the first quarter and never misses a shot, then they try to get the other guys involved and the Warriors climb back into it. Celtics need to learn to ride the hot hand.

In Game 4 they tried to go back to him in the 4th but it was too late. I think he had Draymond on him for a minute and then Kerr sat his ass and Klay clamped him down.

Still holding out hope Horford has some monster games and gets it. Only way I can stomach the Celtics winning again.

It's impossible to know at this point. The Finals MVP winner for the Celtics is going to be determined in the next few games, if they manage to win the series.

I take it you think LeBron should've been awarded the 2015 Finals MVP then

No Steph should have won that.

I think Steph might do it because the Celtics look like they might split a lot of votes even more so than the Warriors did when LeBron could have won.

If he played better he would have. I hope he does win his first Finals MVP this year, would get him closer to top 15 all time great if he does.

If losing players could win it I would say Curry. From what I can tell it only happened with Jerry West in 1969.

With that trend presumably continuing it's hard to not say Brown.

So who has ever won Finals MVP without being an all-star?

-- Iguodola was 3 years removed from his only all-star season, which may or may not count.
-- Cedric Maxwell never was an all-star, which definitely counts.
-- Chauncey Billups was still a couple seasons away from his first of several all-star selections, which shouldn't count.

Anybody else? Those are the only ones who jump out at me.

THe others are generally MVP/Goat list types. Indeed, the only other one I noticed who missed the 75th Anniversary team was Tony Parker.
