I'm not socially available on these days (that's the reason I'm not posting as usual).
But if you need any information or help while you're at Catalunya, just let me know.

I wish you enjoy your travel (holidays I guesss?)

Addendum: Cartagena is indeed the capital city of Murcia territory, like in Boston (Massachusetts) so the parenthesis are accurate but Malaga and Granada are just two different cities from same Andalucía community, like in Evansville and Carmel, at Indiana so should be written:

and Granada and Malaga too (Andalucia) the 10th

Sorry for my hoity-toityness.

We're doing a cruise and I copied their listing. Maybe they were showing the city we were visiting and the port where the ship will dock. Anyway, thanks for the clarification.

Granada is an inland city far from the sea while Malaga has indeed a port.
So probably you're right... you'll likely dock at Malaga and travel by bus to Granada (to visit The Alhambra I infere).

It's beautiful. Enjoy it.

Aiyä!

June 29
Last day for decisions on player, team, and early termination options (certain contracts will require earlier decisions).
Last day for teams to make qualifying offers to players eligible for restricted free agency.

June 30
Last official day of the 2021/22 NBA league year.
Last day for players eligible for veteran extensions in 2021/22 to sign them.
Teams can begin negotiating with free agents (5:00pm CT).

July 1
Official start of the 2022/23 NBA league year.
Moratorium period begins.
Restricted free agents can sign an offer sheet.
Teams can begin signing players to rookie scale contracts, minimum salary contracts, and two-way contracts.
Teams can begin exercising the third- or fourth-year team options for 2023/24 on rookie scale contracts.

July 6
Moratorium period ends (11:01am CT)
Teams can begin officially signing players, extending players, and completing trades (11:01am CT).
The two-day period for matching an RFA offer sheet signed during the moratorium begins.

July 7-17
Las Vegas Summer League.
OK...

As I see it, RRubio will officially leave Indiana Pacers June 30th.

I have little to none expectations FO offering him any extension... I highly doubt they even bother themselves to make him a phone call wishing him good luck.

I never remember CBA rules... not sure if some team could sign him as UFA after season started before Trade Deadline period starts (December? January?).

Anyway, Indiana's RR will be over for good this summer.

But nothing is impossible, of course.

If someone has some educated guess about it, I'd appreciate he shares it.

Addendo: I now have read the Forbes article about RR situation posted by Scott McGroot.
How probable do you think is they re-sing him as an asset to trade?

Knowing RR liked the Cavaliers I’m thinking if Cleveland wants him back the Pacers will work a sign and trade with them.

As you correctly stated Pacers can’t take him onboard with our already loaded backcourt.

that would only be necessary if they think he's still worth starters money. he's an UFA. but the Pacers never waived him so they must think there is some value in holding onto him for use in a sign and trade. I'd love to see the Pacers do some kind of deal with the Cavs where the protection on the draft pick they traded us is renegotiated.

I'm not sure if CLECaus wants him that badly... surely they show some interest but was I Koby Altman, I'd try to make myself sure his knee will be OK before signing him.

Timing is tricky. No way to set a specific date for him being cleared to practise, let alone how long would take him be fit for top level competition.

Could be so soon as October or so long as January.

Cavs would have a dead key roster spot during an undetermined period of competition.

Well... we'll see.

Sooner or later, Ricky will make some public announcement about his rehab and maybe your people or CLE's people will tell something that give us some clue.

Not impossible some other team shows interest as well. Maybe he's not highlighted by the media but I know for sure he gets a good amount of respect from coaches and players around the League.

Gratitude for your feedback.

Would be nice.

By the way, Wizop... Could you tell us some curiosities or things that called your attention while you were at Spain?

Always interesting to me how Spain and Catalunya looks from the eye of a foreigner.

Honestly, if he’s wanting to sign in Cleveland, I picture something in a sign and trade for Dylan Windler would be the reality. He’s a young guy on the last year of his rookie contract that has had injury issues, but he’s an nba caliber wing that needs to flash some talent. It would be a risk for Indy, but it would allow Rubio to sign and trade for a tad over $7m and Cleveland would preserve their MLE. But it may not be a reality unless Sexton doesn’t return to Cleveland, due to tax complications. And depending on the draft and free agency, maybe Indy doesn’t want Windler?
