Another day, another Mitchell to the Heat rumor

Also to translate the tweet, it says Mitchell would like to leave the Jazz and is VERY interested in joining Miami

Have we been talking about trading Herro for the wrong blazers guard? Those shooting numbers are ridiculous:o

After the playoffs it could be debatable we need to be more worried about a Lowry upgrade than a Gabe upgrade. John Wall “should” negotiate a buyout so there’s an option. Maybe Dragic.

I’m looking into Anfernee Simons now after seeing his crazy shooting numbers.

As a starter he averaged a very efficient 22-3-6 last season. He shot 42% from 3 on 10 attempts :o

After CJ was traded he averaged 26-3-6 shooting 47% from 3 on 11 attempts :o

This guy could be a lower cost option for us as a very good scoring punch instead of a Mitchell, Lavine, Dame, etc.

He’s a very fast and explosive player, he jumps out the gym.

He’s a RFA, I wonder if we could work out a sign and trade with them for something like Duncan, Yurt, Gabe and multiple 1sts? Could possibly fill a huge need and even keep Herro for hallstar.

Portland could package those picks with their 7th pick to get a star next to Dame like they want and possibly even a Jerami Grant/OG level guy and Duncan gives them a specialist which is needed next to Dame and his playmaking.

Just a thought

No one trades away a 22 year old emerging star. You gotta a better chance of getting Dame than getting Simons. He's untouchable unless what you get back is a top 5 level player.

Ehhh idk about it being that extreme but it wouldn’t shock me at all if they had a very high price tag on him. He’s legit

Yea they love him, I’d personally throw Herro in the deal if we have to but I was trying to keep everyone happy lol

I watched him quite a bit to end the season and I was impressed every time. He scores in bunches on 3 levels

LMAO @ trading Herro for Simons, that's the exact grass is greener foolishness I speak about on here. (no one trades away an emerging young star...except our fanbase)

Herros career as a starter: 18-6-4, 42% shooting, 30% from 3 on 6 attempts

Simons career as a starter: 21-3-5, 45% shooting, 42% from 3 on 9 attempts

When given the opportunity Simons has been a much better and efficient player. His skillset fits next to Jimmy and Bam for better as well. His 3 point shooting numbers are elite and his catch and shoot and corner 3 point shootings numbers are at an all time great level

This isn't new, Butler liked Wiggins a lot and Wiggins dapped Butler up after that big practice of Butler and the backups vs the starters. He talked Wiggins to Iggy when he was here, it seems Wiggins wasn't thought of all that much around the league by players and with good reason, he lacked focus during games which led to bad possessions or bad defense which leads to losses, something I notice with a current young player in Miami.
Read on Twitter

Butler admitted he has targeted Towns and Wiggins with harsh criticism. He insinuated he gets on the two young players because he sees them not playing as hard as he does—while acknowledging their talent.

"Am I being tough on him? Yeah, that's who am I," Butler said. "I'm not the most talented player on the team. Who is the most talented player on our team? KAT. Who is the most God-gifted player on our team?Wiggs. ... Who plays the hardest? Me! I play hard. I put my body [on the line] every day in practice, every day in games. That's my passion. Everybody leads in different ways. That's how I show I'm here for you."

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2800185-jimmy-butler-reportedly-insulted-karl-anthony-towns-andrew-wiggins-they-soft

Wiggins has always had great upside, he was a #1 pick for a reason, his issues have been lack of focus. How did Wiggins push through most of his lack of focuses, it wasn't after being giving a ton shots when he was young, it wasn't after became a father, it wasn't after signing a max after looking the owner in the eyes and telling him he would work to get better and then he was handed a max, it took him being humbled by being traded and having a whole organization push him instead of coddling him.

I see the same lack of focus in games from Herro and if Miami were to hand him a starting position or a large contract is not going to fix the issue, he's going to have to be humbled with a trade or disrespected with a lowball contract offer and for him to turn the corner with his focus he's probably going to have to be traded and even then that's not going to help him on the defensive end.

Still got a bad taste in my mouth from Herro's Playoff performance this year.

We know he was injured in the end, but man his play against a bad defensive team like the Hawks was just meh.

His Sixers series is bad as well. I have a feeling Riley will hold onto him since that is his fellow bro from Kentucky.

Yep, the Warriors culture and just being in a stable organization with a stable coaching staff and veteran winners did wonders for Wiggins.

But yea Herro has to be traded, we need to get rid of these guys when their value is at its peak, it’s something we’ve struggled with on guys like Duncan, Nunn, etc.

There’s literally 0 hope for Herros defense. He doesn’t have the physical tools, athleticism, or toughness needed. If there’s one thing that will be consistent with Herro it’s his ranking near the bottom of the league defensively every season.
