There's just no way you're comparing 10 ppg 22 year old Harrison Barnes who was a backpacker on a generational Warriors team, to Andrew Wiggins being the clearcut second best player in the finals and uplifting his team with multiple FMVP type performances.

Man, we're in peak Wiggins coronation if he's the second best player while shooting 25% from 3 (on volume) and 69% from FT and third in scoring. I wonder how he's getting 18 ppg? Could it be exploiting matchups at the basket because one and two (Steph and Klay) are bombing away?

His defense is great. Is it because he doesn't have to create the offense for everyone?

He's doing a great job in his role. Won't take that away from him. Tobias could do something similar.

Wait what are we doing here.

He's holding Tatum to sub 40% shooting, Wiggins leads the finals in shots contested, he's second in blocks, he leads the finals in rebounds.

TOBIAS HARRIS COULD NOT DO THIS.

TOBIAS HARRIS HAS NEVER DONE THIS.

That's just an absurdly lazy statement.

This finals version of Wiggins (with the great rebounding) feels like a Shawn Marion clone. Making plays at the rim, locking up on D, and rebounding like crazy.

I think Tobias would be able to figure out how to make himself useful in that situation.

Maybe, maybe not. Tobias had a solid playoff run and even shot the ball better from 3 than Wiggins .Wiggins athleticism gives him a boost or edge on defense and offense. Hes not being asked to create but being asked to take what the defense gives him. Because hes quick , long and can jump out the gym he is able to stay in front of both Tatum and Brown on defense and springy enough to contest most of their shots. On offense he also can slash to the rim when ever he wants and rise up and finish amongst the best something Tobias cannot do due to lack of burst and athleticism. Not saying wiggins is better than Tobi just two different skill sets.

I cant see tobias having that same impact against the celtics even if he was on the warriors. Sure he will score and knock down some open shots but their wing duo would negate Tobias impact on defense and offense like they did when they swept the sixers in 2020. Tobi is a tweener that gets by on scoring on smaller players or getting by slower bigs. He can defend slow , small PFs like him like Randle but big athletic wings will always give him trouble.

Reason its imperative the sixers fill in that wing spot. Every contender has a star 2way wing or multiple two way wings or both. The matisse, green, furkan ,shake commitee just wasnt going to get it done.lol

Haven’t posted in awhile but Josh Hart I love. Hulked out Danny Green. One of the strongest players in the NBA can play bigger or smaller depending on matchups and literally solves our rebounding issues overnight. Yes and Yes

Fwiw don’t like Grant at all no thanks.

Tobi is anti Modern Meta NBA. Even when he plays well the return is null invalid (even less with the absurd contract).

Damn, it’d hurt to lose Cassell but he’s definitely earned a shot at a HC gig.

I think they want it to lead right up to the draft with hardly any gap.

Both and James and Durant got damn close to winning legitimate rings for their own teams, but bailed instead of getting over their Finals loss adversity.

It will be cool seeing Devin Booker and Jayson Tatum learn from those mistakes and stay with their teams.

I hold mercenaries in lesser regard with respect to legacy for a team. Is Lebron the greatest Heat? No, that would be Wade by a country mile. But the overall era in the league still belongs to Lebron.

Yeah, but why can't it be here? Just once, why can't we keep the right guy?

tbf lot of people hated Udoka when he was here as he was in charge of the defense and the drop defense at that. Which got torched all year

Foreal. Andrew Wiggins still sucks. The only thing he's bringing to the table is a good positional block percentage in the Finals. Not sure why dudes are hyperventilating about him. His offensive numbers are putrid. Acting like he's better than Tobias Harris is just anti-homerism.

Trade Thybulle for that and potentially either take guys at 18 and 23 to fill out the bench or trade them for a better player than 23 alone could fetch? White would be a perfect 6th man type IMO as well.

Chicago is building a team around Demar Derozan and Nic Vucevic, they don't deserve nice things.

Snatch Coby White off of them, and while we're at it, try to get Patrick Williams included. He's be a nice reclamation project for us. He's a really talented prospect that has had his development stunted by injuries. He still has a lot of upside as an offensive player.

So if Christian Wood only costs you pick #26, I think Morey can find something good for #23 pick + Green.

Despite having a miserable FT%, Wood somehow hits 39% from three on a reasonable rate for a center. 38% for his career. He needs to get back to his Detroit offensive days, but I could see Doncic being happy with this type of move. Really stretches the floor for him.
