I still think about that "Battle of the Bridge" from 2016 often, that confirmed Leicester as champions. It's like a dream and a nightmare, Spurs simultaneously bottled it but also showed bottle by kicking the **** out of Chelsea. One of the dirtiest matches of all time, how nobody got sent off is a mystery. Simultaneously hate Costa and respect the hell out of him.

With Liverpool valuing Mane and Minamino at 40 million and 17 million, those two approximately pay for the initial fee.

To be fair Chelsea and Man City bottled it even worse that season.
The Chelsea/Atleti league exchanges of the day left lots of what ifs because so many good players were traded/loaned.
Peak Costa goes to Chelsea, has overall the most consistent striker performances since Drogba was around (read random dry spells in the middle of generally excellent showing), then gets thrown under the bus by Conte after gaining the leverage of the title.
Peak Filipe Luis went to chelsea only to sit on the bench.
Courtouis gets improved during the Atleti to Chelsea stints in prep for move to T1 regular CL contender (since Chelsea wasn't at this level during that time).

It's the start of the working week so it's time to get excited about some transfers...

- So Di Maria will/has said no to Juventus, I believe he will angle(No pun intended) a move to Barca.

- Man Utd have been admiring Antony and this was before Ten Haag. His appointment will probably aid them securing his signature

- Pochettino will wait for his next job, from work they believe he could even wait till a decent prem team pops up.

- AC Milan have sent a bid of 40 million euros for Charles De Ketelaere (Will become an amazing player if he lives up to his hype)

- Pogba deal has been been wrapped up as far as I know from my people. I mentioned him going back to Juve a few pages back.

- Mane deal is done as well as far as I know, this was pretty much done from weeks ago. Like I said a few pages back the media have been a bit behind with reporting this deal.

- I believe Aston Villa, Palace and another premier league club have had minor convos with Chelsea for Gallagher. Also Timo Werner is liked by a lot of prem teams.

I think De Ketelaere would have been a Leicester player if we'd have made Europe.
Gallagher is overrated.
Anyone who really wants Werner must be desperate.

He would've been a quality player for Leicester, who know though the pull of the Premier League is strong. You could still be in play for him. AC Milan also want Noah Lang who is another hot prospect.

I like Gallagher, but he is definitely overrated because of the English tax.

I know it seems a bit of a crazy opinion, but I have a feeling that Werner will do well at a club chasing a top 6 spot for some reason. It shocked me how bad his timing is, I've seen him in offside positions a lot maybe due to his playstyle. I've always said if you are going to be a striker playing on the shoulder of a defender you need to be smart with your timing.

I am no expert of this sport, but isn't Werner's finishing complete a**? I mean the chances he wastes all the time is something else.

The thing is, he came to Chelsea after a really prolific season. He scored I think 28 goals at Leipzig and was always linked with moves to the prem.

I think it’s a combination of not adapting to the premier league, him not playing with another striker and maybe him not being as good as the rest of the world viewed him.

Essentially Chelsea have wasted near £150 million on two strikers that haven’t worked out for them.

I remember when Pulisic supposed to be the next big thing, and the he moved to London, and hes average winger now. All these Bundesliga stars are questionable, will be interesting how Haaland works out, hes obviously on the next level, but still.

It's so weird because physicality wise, the two leagues are quite similar. The players in the Bundesliga are not shy of technical ability either. I just think it's the pace of the game in the Prem is intense compared to other leagues, you do not get time on the ball and you have to think at least 3 steps ahead of getting the ball.

With Pulisic, I do like him as a player but I've always questioned if he would be a huge hit in the prem. He's a nice player to have at a team, I would think if and when Chelsea sell him he'll fit in nicely to the other teams outside of the top 6 (even some within the top 6)

I think Haaland will work out, I'm not sure if he'd be as deadly but I think he'll do well for City.

Spurs have a £25 mill bid accepted for Bissouma. Might explain why I saw a few Spurs reps in the building recently.

Very good price, Spurs are building a very good team.

On paper they'll be scary next year, I try my best not to make definitive statements about teams during the off/preseason. However they have recruited well so far. Djed Spence next and there's a high chance that Eriksen goes to Spurs too.

True. But it doesn't matter when Kirby & West are your sponsors.

I'm just enjoying fans of other teams try to spin it.

Arsenal have been in for, and failed to sign, Bissouma for years it seems like. Now apparently they didn't need him anyway. Perisic and Eriksen are over the hill, Spence is crap, etc.

I think my favourite thing I've heard recently in regards to Spurs and a bit of Villa from Arsenal fans is that you are signing elderly players that have no resale value blah blah lol.

Arsenal monitor players for years and do nothing, this is not anything ITK but I have a feeling they'll miss out on Tielemans...

Also after they got bounced out the FA Cup Arsenal fans were gagging for Spence, they forgot they have a young player in the same mould as him lol.

Anyway like I was saying you guys are doing good business, 4 more signings to go and some out goings and you'll be ready for the season.

I'm incredibly excited about Bissouma. I think he's one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. One concern, though, is that I thought there was an ongoing criminal investigation into him over sexual assault. Clearly if Spurs are willing to spend that kind of money on him, there can't be too many worries over his legal status, but it does linger in my mind.

As far as I know he basically is off the hook, they detained him and another 40 year old guy. They kept the 40 year old and he is under investigation still, but Bissouma got let off and I don’t think he’s under investigation now? His hearing was last week as well I think.

 It's true. Don't we all have optimism in the off-season for the signings we make. Last season I was excited to get Bertrand. :(

Spurs have become the most serious club in London sadly.
