Beverley signed a 1 year, $13 million dollar extension with the Wolves in February. Rumors don't make a lot of sense. He just signed an extension and what would we send MIN to match salaries?

This is the garbage mentioned in that Beverley article: "The Wolves could sell high, and try to steal the Sixth man of the year, Tyler Herro, away from Miami. Herro recently made comments that he deserves a starting role.

Ideally, this could be the perfect trade for the Timberwolves. Herro has proven he can be a starter in this league and would complement wingman Anthony Edwards and center Karl-Anthony Towns. The Timberwolves could package Beverly and pick(s) to pry Herro away from the Miami Heat."

Tyler Herro for Patrick Beverly?

The thing that makes me LOL is that the writers are actually serious about it.

Sign John Wall after being bought out.

PG: Oladipo - Wall
SG: Caldwell-Pope - Vincent
SF: Butler - Strus
PF: Siakum - Tucker
Ce: Adebayo - Yurtseven

Simons career as a starter: 21-3-5, 45% shooting, 42% from 3 on 9 attempts

When given the opportunity Simons has been a much better and efficient player. His skillset fits next to Jimmy and Bam for better as well. His 3 point shooting numbers are elite and his catch and shoot and corner 3 point shootings numbers are at an all time great level

Oh please. We know Herro gets thrown out as a "starter" in all sorts of random lineups when the team is decimated by injuries. That's a significant difference than being assigned a starter with a structured plan.

Last year Simons was an immaculate 6/3/1 in the playoffs, if only Herro could reach that in his 3rd year.

I'm not arguing this bs

We moving the man for Mitchell, that's fine, all these other little looters in a riot....keep it moving

Do you think Simons wasn't thrown into fires with Lillard playing in omly 29 games this season and McCollum getting traded?

Send a 1st to Washington and I’m assuming some picks to Toronto and I’d be down for this. Get another all star, veteran 3 and D guy, and then Wall for cheap to see what he has left.

I’d probably start Vincent or Wall at PG though and have Dipo in Herros role

Because he probably needs to be viewed more as a scoring PG. Cavs did so much better defensively without him sharing the backcourt with Garland which was forced due to needing to play the both of them. Not taking anything away from Sexton but he needs to be on a team with a big ball handler.

Guys when making a proposed trade always try to at least think of the opposing team and if they would rationally agree. Some of these proposals are special

No need to send Washington a first. KCP is a player that will likely walk. Washington does not have leverage on KCP. No one giving up draft picks for a role player especially one who is about to become a free agent. Washington is not a team who can attract free agents. Again Duncan is a player teams like. Big rule of mine. Do not trade draft picks for a role player. That is asinine.

Toronto on the other hand. Yes draft picks can be added but not to the extent you are suggesting. Herro should be a player that the Raptors are highly interested in. Young team with a young star in Herro who should be able to lead his young teammates.

Wiz just got rid of a similar player to Duncan in Davis Bertans. I don’t see them taking on a similar situation again.

Lowry gonna return to the raps regardless. The goal would be to get Herro to build their new young core.

Teams like Washington and Charlotte have to overpay for players. Every year we go through this. If you think paying Duncan 17 mill a year is a bad contract wait till you see what role players get this summer. Watch how many players get above 20 mill. And we gonna get the holy smokes reaction the first 2 days of free agency

Isn’t there a thread at the Raptors board where they are literally laughing at us for singing Lowry and getting an asset out of it? Lowry might return on a one day vet min to officially retire but they are not trading for him.

Pat wanted a Whale, Lowry is like i got you (running towards the kitchen)

Return to Miami Heat
