Huh? Most people had Bamba 5/6 because his ceiling was mobile 7 footer that can shoot threes and block shots but there was quite a bit of risk of being too skinny. If anything he was low floor high ceiling, while most people are attributing "high floor, low ceiling" for Jabari which nobody knows with these prospects.

Thats the point i am disputing. For me Bamba was never high ceiling prospect becouse he couldnt pass, had limited handle, had motor concerns and no awareness.
I see Smith as medium high ceiling. He has similar problems with handle, passing and decision making, but he has also excellent motor and ok awareness on defense.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Ah okay so you're saying people are falsely attributing high floor for Jabari when it should be opposite?

I guess we'll see. My guess is as good as any.

Jabari to me has the highest floor and is basically impossible his gonna be a bust, safest bet possible(and that is why weham gonna pick him) .

is pretty sure he is gonna be at least a 36-37% outiside shooter with decent defence,a respectable role player, useful in any situation.

can see banchero fail in nba, taking a lot of bad shots while having defensive issues and obviously can see holmgren fail
for many different reasons,lol

that said,at #1 in our situation as a franchise,i would not go for sure with the safest pick(especially cause my job is not on the line  )

At the end of the day, any of Chet, Jabari, and Paolo probably won’t be the best players taken from this draft based on where they are selected. That’s my hot take.

I think i misunderstood your first post. To me there are certain skills that can limit both your floor and your ceiling. It can vary depending on global team building trends and your best players.
The way we are building our team and the way best teams are built right now limited ball handling and passing lowers both your floor and ceiling.
It was different for Hardens Rockets where the need for passing and handling was lower but Doncic Mavericks improved when they moved from Porzingis ( who is more skilled than Jabari !) to Dinwiddie.
You can think someone's floor is high but then required skills for a role change and you are left with white whale.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

This and the Texas tech game are the ones that sold me. The upside as a playmaker is clear. His shot is not broken, and I believe he will be a solid catch and shoot 3 point shooter. Then you mix with the power and bully ball he can do. The shot creation.... He's the guy. I don't believe we will pick him and I won't be mad if we don't. I get the apeal of the shot making Jabari can do and the long term upside of Chet. But I believe Paolo he is going to be 3 level scoring star and we'll regret passing on him even though I do believe Chet and Jabari will be good players too.

I can’t find confirmation but numerous “sources” are claiming Paolo is unlikely to visit Orlando for a private workout and is essentially out of consideration.

Down to Jabari / Chet.

Great smokescreen to not bring him in. Now, let's trade #1 for #3 and #17.

I don't believe that's true. When your blessed with the number 1 pick in a 3 or 4 player draft you bring them all in and do your due diligence.

I agree. The other side of this rumor is that PB does not want to workout with us??? We have the #1 pick and you think you aren't worthy to be the #1? Something is wrong here...

I have a hard time believing that too. Why wouldn't he wanna work out for us? Even if he doesn't think we are gonna pick him why wouldn't he wanna get himself in front of us to change our minds. I don't believe that at all.

The shock factor of them selecting Banchero at one would be pretty great. I think it would send everyone, especially this fanbase, into a frenzy.

Remember when our oh so knowledgeable fans booed the selection of Franz?

I wouldn't care too much about fan reaction, certainly not amongst the casual guys/gals.

As you say, it'd be funny to stand back and watch the ensuing debacle!

Down to Jabari / Chet.

Hes backing out or they wont schedule him?

it would be a HUGE mistake to not even consider him
To me, he has the highest ceiling and most star power out of the 3, and 100% should be in consideration for #1

Im still leaning towards jabari, but would be thrilled with Paolo if hes the pick

LOL. Well I'm here for the !ish and giggles.

Seriously though, who cares what us fans thinks. I mean we aren't the ones doing the interviews, workouts and in-depth analysis of these guys to achieve that decision. We at most were just watching games and yt videos of them.

That's why I'm curious about this rumor. I can't really believe that. Maybe it's one of the smoke one of the top pick's camp are laying out? lol

Do you have a link? Banchero is already in NYC waiting on the draft.
