I agree with this statement, but I don't think Porzingis' value has shot up much after just 19 games with the Wizards. But if Porzingis maintains that level of play for the first half-season this year, then we ought to explore trading him....

Sure -- & I'd say the decision between those two mostly depends on what we can get for him. At least it ought to.
Keep in mind how low his value was. In general, I'd say we were in a position where I expected another team to take advantage of us in a trade. Instead, his value was low enough that all we had to give was our problems -- & we got a R2 pick as well!
I'd say that if he sustains, or even improves, we would get a bunch more for him.
