And you guys are discussing the severity of the ban like it's some kind of injustice but you don't realize he doesn't care. The guy is a multimillionaire youtuber. I don't think he's even a Warriors fan or from San Francisco. Does he even attend their games normally?

He now has publicity, which will fuel further video views and increase his income. He achieved his objectives.

Normally? .. holy sh*t man, you except people to attend games constantly?
He spend 10 grand to go watch them play and you're nitpicking his f*&king attendance record.

Big over reaction. They change it yet?

Seems like he's banned because of their own failures.

Watch the full clip. Its real. He was handed it by the vice security operations of chase center.

A guy in a suit with a lanyard and a blurred out face handed it to him. Could be literally anyone. Doesn't change the complete lack of professionalism of the "official ban letter."

Doubt it's fake. More than one person said he would face issues in the video. When national outlets like ESPN is reporting it as real pretty sure they check their sources.

I don't get why this guy would do this. Been watching his videos for a long time now. Funny guy but this just seems so odd of him to do. To get himself banned because he wanted to shoot around on an NBA court..like wow. Oh well.

Except for the fact that almosr everyone shown in his video that wasn't in on it was fooled...

Do you honestly think that security would have let BigDaws in if he walked up to that security line just dressed as himself (no makeup, facial hair shenanigans etc)?

Come on.

And plenty of players have walked into arenas wearing all sorts of stuff. BigDaws knowingly took advantage of it.

The reality is that the moment he saw that he was going to be let in by security he should have stopped and revealed himself and not proceeded to trespass.

Granted, it would have made his video way less interesting but you'd have to be a complete idiot to not know that you were doing something you aren't supposed to be doing.

Also I think it's absolutely hilarious that you think there's some sort of dress code required for NBA players entering facilities. Have you not watched any pregame shows in like the last decade??

Show me ONE nba player walking in wearing their basketball shorts and I'll agree with you. Just one!

Security should know what freaking Klay looks like...these aren't idiots on the street and if you watched the video, MULTIPLE people knew who it was lol. It's pathetic that security let this happen. PATHETIC! These people have actually seen klay, IN PERSON!!!!!!

How about spending 1% effort and do a google image search for "arriving at arena wearing shorts"? You'll see plenty players wearing shorts entering arenas.

It doesn't matter if security SHOULD have known better. Ignorance of security or feigned ignorance of rules by BigDaws does not excuse him from the fact that he still trespassed.

You're being dumb at this point honestly.

There have been plenty of stories of folks simply acting confident in situations where they weren't allowed to access areas they shouldn't be. Humans WANT to believe the best in people (even if they shouldn't). The fact that they erroneously let the guy in does not in any way erase the fact that BigDaws committed a crime.

This is the funniest thing I’ve heard about in a long time  Seems like something you’d see in a comedy.

Those security guards must’ve been smoking something really good.

What's really funny is those "Klay fans" in his videos going crazy.

The man doesn't look like Klay, is shorter, not nearly as fit, walking around in full uniform and they can't tell the difference...

So if I just walked into some guy's house unannounced and then left when being asked to that would be okay too?

The reason he was permitted on the premises was under the completely false pretense of actually being Klay Thompson. So BigDaws' true identity was never allowed to be in the stadium.

BigDaws therefore did trespass and can indeed be
prosecuted for it.

If you don't think dressing up as someone else convincingly and acting as that person isn't lying about who your true identity is then I don't know what to tell you.

So in that case, they're not very good at their jobs, are they? Agree with the earlier suggestion, Dubs need to hire the guy who stopped Federer to ask for credentials...

Well obviously he wants to get right into the game, Klay so focused on that NBA title he actually doesn't even wear street clothes on game day.
