The fascination with Brogdon continues to elude me.

He is everything we want
He is everything we need
He is everything inside of us that we wish we could be
He says all the right things at exactly the right time
but he means nothing to you and I dont know why

Damn you

An already soon-to-be 30 year old with an extensive injury, who's also not happy with his role? Pretty unnecessary risk to take IMO.

And his wants were super overblown. He just wanted be the point guard. He legit can be next to Jrue, and yeah he has been there done that and has seen the grass is not greener.

Brogs would be a good move if we could get him on the cheap. It’s risky given his injury history but a risk worth taking if the price is right.

I can't see any way Brogdon can be acquired by the bucks. Unless it was a bigger trade and one of our big 3 was traded.

I was under the assumption he left because we had just extended Bledsoe and he was wanting to play the point. If the plan is to shift Jrue to SG, then this could be an ideal situation for The Prez.

Brogdon’s value just isn’t that high. It could be a 3 team deal involving 24+Brook and Grayson, I just don’t think it’s that likely.

Something like

Minnesota gets Brook

Indiana gets Grayson+Beverly or Beasley+24

Milwaukee gets Brogdon

I’m a Brogdon fan and can see him being very valuable if he can be effectively load managed where he could stay healthy for the playoffs.

But given the risks I don’t know if I’d trade Lopez for him.

I forgot Brogdon still plays basketball that's how often he must actually play thanks to his injury history.

Brogdon's value is low, but Pacers are probably looking for the worst contract they can get plus the most assets they can get. We would need a third team imo.

Also, Houston now has 13 guaranteed roster spots filled in addition to three 1st round picks in the draft. I'd see how cheap you can get Jae'Sean Tate for.

He’d be a great get. I know they were looking for a first, but I wonder if hill and 2 seconds would have them interested at all.

I have no idea what his market is going to be. Feels like a guy that could sign for a lot more than that or could potentially fall into our hands. Would definitely be happy to use the TPMLE on him.

My other potential pipedreams are:

Lonnie Walker - probably out of the cards even in the best case scenario, but maybe in a world where San Antonio chases a bigger fish, they rescind the qualifying offer and we somehow get him for the TPMLE.

Hamidou Diallo - Detroit probably picks up his team option, but if not, would happily take him.

Kevon Looney - think his market is probably higher than this after this postseason but you never know with big guys

JaMychal Green - OKC probably keeps or flips him in a trade, but if he gets bought out I would definitely be interested.

Yeah, bringing back our guys and then adding weight makes us a better team for sure.

I’m also curious if our perception around the league has gone up this season relative to last. Last year, Brooklyn had the narrative running that if they were healthy they would’ve won it all, and it seemed like player interest kinda mapped out that way too. This year, we have the narrative that if we were healthy we likely would have won it all. I wonder if we’ll actually be able to grab one of the top 3 min signing this year.

I'd offer them Tucker's non-guaranteed salary and the Portland 2024 2nd rounder. If it's any more expensive than that then it's not worth it. He's 27 and doesn't fit the timeline of their rebuild.

If everything breaks right, I think an ideal off-season for me would be:

Bring back our FA’s
Sign delon weight to the tpmle
Sign one of the top 3 min guys - like Otto porter last year
Hit on the first
Trade hill + 2 seconds to get a guy like Roby or Tate
Sign a min center

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
