I can't see why Chet WOULD provide medicals to "most" teams any more than Jabari limiting his workouts to top 2...they're both top picks and will be regardless. Even IF this were a true report, I'm sure the team with the #1 overall pick was not one of the excluded teams.

Not sure the NBA would allow him to play without a heart screening. They wouldn't want someone to collapse on live TV.

Is it just me or am I reading this wrong? The article says Chet didn't give his medicals to MOST teams.. NOT didn't give MOST of his medicals.

Someone help me out here. Any English teachers/masters/doctorates here?

We didnt get medicals for players who hoped to get drafted higher than our pick too in the last few years. His camp probably gives them only to us & OKC. Clickbait :sleep:

Chet will more than likely have his media session tomorrow. I'm 99% sure. Locked on Magic the day before Jabari's interview said he had a special treat for the next day that he couldn't let us know what it was. He just said the same thing about tomorrow. At 2:20 of the video.

Yea, if I remember back in 2014, Joel Embiid would not provide medicals to most teams and there was some chatter that he was trying to steer himself to LA. I think I remember reading that not even Philadelphia could get his medicals.

I don't watch OKC but EVERY podcast I've listened to, even OKC pods, say their coach wants to play with 5 guys that can bring the ball up and initiate the offense. Giddey is awesome, SGA is awesome, but having the versatility of a team with ball handlers, 1-5 is their goal. Chet isn't a PG, but like we saw him do at Gonzaga a few times, he wants to be able to grab a board and go and he'll have more freedom to do so in OKC, as they still tank hard.

and you think Mosely would stop him from initiating a fast break?

The part that I don't get is Chet possibly not doing the NBA heart screening. That's the test that would determine if he had Marfan syndrome or not. Pretty sure that's how they detected it with Isaiah Austin.

Here's the link where the standard NBA heart screening-detected Austin had Marfan.

Chet will have to do that test before he can play in the NBA. If he has Marfan's he'll never be able to play in the NBA because players have been known to die on the court with this syndrome.

He will earn the most minutes there and has the most opportunity if you look at their roster.

Thats not how it works though. Orlando can still select him regardless of what his agent wants.
