I watched the two part Garth doc a couple weeks ago and liked it. It bums me out that his stuff isn't available on the usual channels. But it amazes me that his songs all have hundreds of millions of views on Youtube, except it's not him singing. Titles say Garth Brooks. Image is of him. Not him singing. And an alarming percentage of commentators don't seem to realize it.

Woah, didn't know that. I assume unauthorized? How does Brooks let that happen? That's a lot of money flying out of the door to random people.

Yea, they're just cover versions with his album artwork. Some of the covers are extremely good in that the impression of Garth's voice is damn near spot on.

But yea, I don't know why he never got on Spotify or Apple Music or Youtube. If you want to hear him, you need to be on Amazon Music.

Latest episode of Obi-Wan was the best of the season IMO.

Eh, I don't know. It kind of cemented for me that so much of the plot in this series was not very well developed, and the dialogue was especially terrible.

It had a couple good scenes, but I also found myself a bit puzzled about how they handled a couple things.

Spoiler:
The reveal of Reva as a former youngling was extremely predictable but also handled in such a boring way. (Obi basically sussing it out of her in a couple sentences of dialogue). The way she came at Vader at the end was stupid and silly as well. The Roken character has been nothing but absolute trash in terms of dialogue and development. And then **** Bail sending a video message with basically the most guarded secret in the galaxy that could have easily been intercepted by ANYONE who happened to have the communicator literally made my brain hurt.

That being said, I enjoyed the flashback to Ani the Padiwan (though they couldn't have done a better job with de-aging Hayden Christianson?) and Vader was awesome as usual.

Only good episode of the season so far, but I can definitely see how it would cement feelings that the show was not well developed overall. Characters finally have clear motivations and conflicts, but instead of making the previous episodes better it just makes you wonder why this wasn’t always the case. The action direction is still a mess though.

Much like Boba Fett, I think this series will look better as a complete picture rather than the weekly episode releases.

Some of the writing gaffes have been hilariously bad though.

Perhaps; we'll see after next week. But if so, it makes you think that they would have been better off trimming the fat and chopping the runtime down to a 2.5 hour feature film.

The action scenes in Obi-Wan are absolutely awful, especially considering the budget/resources of a Star Wars property. Like, it straight up feels like one of those early-2000's SyFy channel shows. Throw in the terrible dialogue, the incredibly obvious and predictable "twist" with the Reva character (we literally called it in the first minute of her first scene lol), and I'm basically hate-watching the show at this point only because the GF wants to finish it (she's not even the biggest fan). They really just pumped out 6-hours of content entirely for the sake of showing maybe 30 total on-screen minutes of "Look how cool Darth Vader looks!"

Nothing low key about it. It absolutely is the best pop country song ever written.

Since I watched the doc I've been listening to his stuff from the 80s to the mid 90s and goddamn that dude cranked out incredible hits. It's tough to pick out my favorite. It's probably The Dance, but I can't find that online so this is a good runner up.

All caught up on The Boys. Really enjoying this season. In a thoughtful and sadistic way.

Make it a sitcom and cast Tony Brothers as the fastidious attic tenant who "came with the place" and I'm in.

Peaky Blinders
Spoiler:
I enjoyed the final season, especially the last 3 episodes. Once Arthur "classic" returned (for the most part). I don't really see a need for a movie but it sounds as if there will be one. Steven Knight hinted that there may be something more after the movie so I assume the movie would set up a sequel of sorts, maybe centering on Duke. Who knows. Only 36 episodes and I'm sorry it's over.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Wow, I had the exact opposite reaction. Didn't like the last season, and thought thank god there's a movie coming because there was a ton that got left unresolved.
