Anyone not taking Gui Santos in the first round of this draft is passing on the steal of all steals. It is criminal.

If there is any argument that all 3 prospects are in the same tier, do not over-think it. Take the one with vision and creation upside over the other two with role player skills - defensive C and shooting forward.

Jabari is a nice shooter, but nice shooter with his current skills are role players unless you think he can self-create shots like Durant and healthy Michael Porter Jr in the half-court.

When Jabari takes a dribble his shotmaking gets significantly worse. He’s shown zero in that area.
He took what defenses gave him. They packed the paint against Auburn, I believe Jabari was the only player that shot over 300 from 3-pt.

Jalen Williams is gathering serious momentum. Looks to be going in the lottery at this rate.

Paolo still number 1 for me, biggest riser continued to be Duren. Sharpe dropped, but I find it pretty difficult to put him anywhere with confidence. He could easily outperform this ranking

Slawson is returning to school i think..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

https://www.nbadraft.net/nba-mock-drafts/

just updated their mock - they have Chet dropping to 6th.

i know people don't like their rankigns/comps, but they have actually been pretty decent historically predicting the ranges where players ago (I am assuming they have a few contacts with teams), so this is just a wild projection on their part.

The love of Blake Wesley.....I'll never understand how a player like this gets so hyped.

No way Detroit would let him slip past 5. At least I hope not, that has them taking Mathurin over Chet :o

Depends if he shared his medicals with Detroit or not. I think he's a perfect fit in Detroit. Chet's here in Orlando and will likely do a media session tomorrow. I'm sure the reporters will ask about his medical report.

Hope Chet doesn't drop to the Pistons in that case. No need for the Pistons to take any risks on players with potential medical issues.

If I recall, nbadraft has historically made controversial mocks as clickbait, not that they have deep intel.

The only way Houston skips over Chet is if he has Marfans. Chet not giving out medical, cynic would say Marfans.

Best case scenario is that he is dodging teams, who is he dodging? Orlando, OKC and Houston are some of the best franchises in terms of the lotto losers at the bottom. Its not as if he need to dodge the Kangs this year.

Houston won't let Chet drop unless he has significant red flags. The fit of him and Sengun is very intriguing.

I gotta say it is fun having a draft where the first guy on people's boards (not mocks bc those have intel) isn't just the same guy. Lots of discussion everywhere between the top 3 guys

He's in Orlando now and will likely do his workout tomorrow.

I really hope they are wrong because I don't want Banchero in OKC but Keegan at 3 and Chet at 6 is very weird. I don't think Chet is a lock to get drafted top 2 but no way he gets past top 4.

Sharpe at 9 isn't that crazy though (even if a team will likely move up to get him earlier)

Marfans was my first thought when I read he wasn’t giving heart test results. I would’ve thought that was picked up at some point already if that was the case though
