Mavs were 7-6 when Dinwiddie was a starter during regular season and 2-1 in playoffs.

In those 2 games that Mavs won, Dinwiddie had:

Game 1.....17pts on 33%FG / 30% USG%

Game 2.....20 pts on 29%FG / 29% USG%

And in the game that they lost.... 22pts on 40%FG / 35% USG%

So, what's your point? Because clearly Dinwiddie plays better when Luka gets most attention or will you argue otherwise?

Interesting post that echoes my entire position. It's easy to find NBA guys that can produce like All Stars with the ball in their hands, but guys that are long who produce like All Stars without the ball are in the minority. I'm actually closer to an NBA championship if I have one of the guys in the minority.

In terms of offensive luka is ahead. I say luka is 9/10 offensively and tatum is 7/10 and tatum is not consistently consistent so could be 6.7/10

In terms of defensive ability tatum is ahead of luka. Luka 4/10 tatum is 6.5/10.

Overall player tatum because of defense but lukas offense and overall impact is elite.. better offense beats defense.. luka is like an unathletic lebron but more skilled offensively.

It's the whole realgm overrating defense; it matters for sure but unless it's game changing-Its importance is way overstated.
anybody with eyes knew Dirk>KG. and that was when Dirk was awful defensively.

Thats why offense is more valued than defense. His defense isnt good to make up either. He should stop trying to be a 30ppg scorer and be ray allen. Forces too much.

Booker and Tatum have Finals stage performances to compare. We can't knock Tatum for his Final stage performance when Luka has never even made it that far. It's impossible to turn it into a negative for Tatum when Luka hasn't even qualified to enter the comparison. Luka is a non qualifier, he's ineligible.
