I know hyperbole is the name of the game, but it drove me nuts when Steph said '...nobody expected us to be here.' The Dubs were fourth in the aggregate preseason championships odds.

LeBron used to do that a lot, too. It really bugs me, for some reason.

Congrats to warriors. Earned that title. Love curry.

As for my Celtics. Lessons learned about not panicking and they gotta ear t I value the basketball.

Celtics were -8 in Pythagorean stat. Their stats said expected wins with what they produced was 59 wins, not 51.

When they play tight, absolutely an elite team. But, they have a dribbling problem on the team. Only average ball handler in. Starting 5 is smart. And he is t great. That hurts them when you face a team like the warriors.

Fine season Celts. You'll have many chances to grab a ring. Great job Wiggs, DG, GP2 and Curry, and the team. Save game 6 Klay for next yr, but good defense KT, Porter, Looney. Great future for you Poole.

I'm not sure about that. A lot can happen season to season, plus there are a few teams that are good (contenders).

Would Milwaukee make it to the finals this year if Middleton didn't get hurt? Possibly.

My thoughts also...if Middleton didn't get hurt it would've been Bucks/Warriors, IMO.

Jayson Tatum's dad is giving the Dubs the trophy. Talk about adding insult to injury.

I wouldn't offer him a big contract. Good player in the right role, but beyond that I'm not so sure.

1. Getting D'Angelo Russell out of KD going Brooklyn...who then got flipped to Minnesota for Wiggins and the pick that became Kuminga. Brilliant sequence of moves.

2. Taking Jordan Poole with the 28th pick in the draft.

3. Scooping up Gary Payton from the G-League.

Of course this is Steph, Draymond and Klay's team...but Wiggins, Payton and Poole are also big pieces of this championship team.

They also benefitted from a lot of key injuries in the West

Championship is a championship. Can't control what's going on with other teams. My point still stands.

Congrats to the Warriors. An incredible turnaround and validation for their core guys as well as guys like Wiggins and Payton - I think you gotta put Curry in that Duncan, Birk, Magic tier now.

Not to take anything away from that, but I think the Celtics will be kicking themselves for awhile over this. The turnovers, Tatum's finishing around the rim, the defensive schemes on Curry were all major factors in this loss that were well within a measure of control. It's no given they back here either e.g. '12 Thunder.
