Real-life commitments and focus affect my time more than in past projects but I'll join. Regardless of position, learning and sharing in these things are fun.

The 2021-22 season is over now so we can make a start on this project. I will post the thread for round #1 on Saturday morning and voting will close on Tuesday (the exact deadline will be specified at the beginning of each round).

In the meantime, posters who are not yet part of the project are still welcome to join in.

Yeah, I'm not going to do this. 3 days for each spot is too rushed for me.

Almost certainly near each other.

Not sure the gravity of how dominant Anthony Davis truly was in the 2020 PS is felt, but I’m not sure it should be. Either way he’ll probably be ranked right next to the group.

Yeah I was at the OT thread at the time and, if I remember correctly, it wasn't even that people did not mind, just that Gobert was dumb but did not deserve to be banned for life. I thought it was a massive overreaction but hey. It's a shame.

I will not be participating in this poll because this appears to be quite time consuming and won't have much time going forward. I'm also not particularly keen on dedicating time to a vote-based project as I feel it might be compromised by the integrity of some of the people who are participating in it, i.e., those who are known Kobe-haters and Timmy-lovers.

If we can figure out a better way to rank peaks other than votes, I'd be happy to make the time to help in any way... including to help with gathering and collating information, maintaining spreadsheets, etc.

This trajectory highlights what I mean.

1) Tim Duncan 2002-03 peak:
- 2012 project, 9th
- 2015 project, 7th
- 2019 project, 6th

Conclusion: BAD! It's strange that this peak continued to go higher, even though this peak happened 10 years before the 1st project and 16 years before the 3rd project. Very strange indeed.

2) Kevin Garnett 2003-04 peak:
- 2012 project, 11th
- 2015 project, 8th
- 2019 project, 11th

Conclusion: BAD! KG started off 2 spots below Duncan in 2012 project... only 1 behind in 2015... then finally found himself 5 spots below in 2019 project. I feel the reason they have done this is to have an answer for the oft asked question in player comparisons about dominance in era over nearest competitors.

3) Dirk Nowitzki 2011-12 peak:
- 2012 project, 18th
- 2015 project, 18th
- 2019 project, 19th

Conclusion: Good! Has remained approximately the same.

4) Dwyane Wade 2008-09 peak:
- 2012 project, 17th
- 2015 project, 16th
- 2019 project, 16th

Conclusion: Good! Has remained approximately the same.

5) Kobe Bryant 2007-08 peak:
- 2012 project, 15th
- 2015 project, 23th
- 2019 project, 20th

Conclusion: BAD! It's strange that: 1) his peak has fluctuated like this... 2) went lower while Duncan's went higher... and 3) then somehow found itself below Dirk and Wade.

The bad conclusions above are most likely the result of voting from people like CeilingRaiser, Jaivl, Colbini, Falco, Dhsilv2, Eminence, Adagio, MartinToVaight, Texas Chuck, etc, etc. They do and say things to create the false impression of a gap between Duncan and others who were also among the greatest players in the 2000s, even though none exists.

PS: I hope this post comes across as constructive criticism, as it is intended to be, asking those who participate in this project to please try to make an attempt to be fair + logical. A vote-based project or survey is only as good as the people participating in it. Cheers!

This clear trajectory highlights the lack of integrity.

Is it too late to join? Last project I participated in was the 2014 top 100 but this could be fun.
Now that's the difference between first and last place.

Question: If a player you didn't vote for wins is there a way to vote on which season gets chosen for that player. For example I didn't vote for LeBron but if he wins I would vote for his 09 season.
