We need versatility. Game planning for one team could hurt us. We don’t even know if we are going to face them again in the next few seasons.

It is not just about Giannis or the Bucks. The Bucks just happen to be the best team in the East alongside probably the Celtics. The Celtics in general need someone who can guard big wings/mobile forwards with size so Tatum and Brown don't have to expend a lot of energy defending them while they are also required to carry the team offensively.

Jerami Grant would be my first option but I doubt he wants to play here since he wants to be a first option. Maybe we can take a gamble on Jonathan Isaac

i would risk it with Isaac, if he can back strong form inury, he is the beast, and can defend Embiid/Giannis.

I really like Jonathan Isaac. Big fan. He was my 2nd favorite player in his draft class after Tatum. He hasn't played basketball for 2 years now. I am not even sure he wants to come back to the NBA judging by his activities. If he is healthy again, he would be a good fit here. Elite rim protector who can also stretch the floor.

When does free agency start? (Don't care much about the draft unless we're involved in trades before NBA calendar turns.) It's pretty cool that since Cs got deep into the Playoffs, there's not much waiting until there's some NBA activity/rumors again.

Damn it starts August 2nd. I always thought it started early July? It's definitely a little further away than I thought.

The blue print is out on how to beat us. Stack Tatum, defend Brown well and force everyone else to beat you. Not every team has the offensive firepower of the Warriors...but Tatum better get ready for a GRULING 2023.

I was super critical of Smart at the point for a LOOOOOOONG time but the lack of point guard play is too easy a take after watching this series....did Marcus really turn the ball over THAT much? Perhaps, but most of the "game changing" turnovers came from Tatum and Brown after Smart had gotten them the ball. Also for some reason Rob and AL couldn't post up Looney and Klay..!?!?! That's not Smart fault. If your asking for prime Chris Paul...well every team needs that except the Warriors.

We need another CONSISTANT scorer to combat the focus on Tatum and Brown. Honestly Richardson was REALLY missed this series while White was a disaster. Lots of picks and money going to White who was terrible besides game 1.

We also need "younger Al". Again, you would of thought we were playing against Embiid, not Looney.

Among those playing more than 50 minutes Smart was 2nd in TOV% after Pritchard. Tatum 7th, Jaylen 9th.
*Jaylen doesn't actually turn it over much. However when he does turn it over, he does so spectacularly. Jaylen is also prone to 'soft' turnovers that don't actually register as turnovers but might as well be (e.g. dribbling into three guys and kicking it out to nowhere so the play resets with 3 seconds on the clock or dragging his man to the ballhandler so that they can trap).

Need a sg-pf that can consitantly SCORE.

THat bumps Smart down to 4th option and most likely puts Big al on the bench.

Ideally I want a strong PF who can switch onto centers, but Will also gladly put Tatum in the PF spot.

Smart isn't going any where. Dude was amazing this season and his size is crucial to our league leading defense.
We'll work on a few things this off-season and we'll be back.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

Either get Tatum and Brown to stop turning the ball over or find new stars who will take care of the ball. This is not rocket science. Tatum had 100 turnovers in the playoffs (a record) and Brown wasn't far behind.

We need a ball handling wing that can shoot 3s.

Paul George? Lmao

Brad is a moron for dumping all our assets for a guy like White that is basically a poor man’s Marcus Smart. Offers shoddy ball handling, average passing, and 0 shooting.

Needed a guy like Tyus Jones.

Tyus Jones is a career 35% three point shooter on 2 attempts per game. As a shooter, he's basically Derrick White on half the volume.

We need more size to get past the Bucks again.
Gotta upgrade that front court and not just one.
We need depth upfront. Dallas just got C Wood.
Horf RWill Theis? Come on now. Upgrade, Depth.
