That job has been given to Wiseman ready or not.

Zach Lowe had an interesting nugget about this. The Warriors were thinking about a trade like this with Turner but figured he might not be a good fit scheme wise with how switchable they are defense and how they like to move on offense. Thats not to say they may not roll the dice in the offseason but they definitely kicked the can at the trade deadline.

Turner would be amazing on this team.

What.

Up to 5 votes now, I'd like to hear from those 5 voters. Maybe they expected them to sweep every series.

If they played at the level they played at their best, such as the first half of the last game throughout the play-offs they probably would have won more easily. I don’t think with the miles on the clock the veteran core have, particularly with Klay coming back from two devastating injuries having not played for 2 and a half seasons that was ever possible though.

it's hard to predict what will be the future for GSW next season. Do they try and contend again or decide now is the time to really start putting the young guys in and getting them into more of a solid rotation? Next year will be a big test for Kerr and his ability as a coach as he's only had amazing teams to be the coach of so far except for the 2020 Warriors. How Kerr with a depleted staff handles integrating Wiseman/Kuminga/Moody and molding them into players. I'd expect Iguodala retires but maintains a position as part of Kerr's staff helping the young guys grow.

Hmm I didn't know Lacob was a minority owner of the Celtics before moving onto a quarter share of the Warriors.
Either way, he's not going to cheap out now. What other toys do billionaires have that are more fun than winning trophies?

You have Steph Curry at his apex on your roster - you are a contender.

My assumption is they would trade their young pieces if a top-15 player that fit with Steph became available. That most likely wont be the case so they will try to improve in the margins.

Right but they had Steph Curry last year and were not a contender. Ultimately I don't believe that the Warriors trade their young guys at all. If they truly want to be the Spurs, then you have to do what the Spurs did and transition with new guys while finding solid vets to help the roster contend. I'm talking about how the Spurs transitioned seamlessly to Kawhi Leonard then got LMA and Pau Gasol to make them a contender as Duncan aged out.

I don't believe they would ever trade Kuminga, I also don't 100% think they would trade Wiseman but he seems like the most likely guy to go. If a guy like..Damian Lillard wanted to return to the Bay and contend they could very well package Wiseman and Moody but then the question becomes...do you trade Wiggins or Klay? In all honesty, and this kind of hurts to say, you trade and try and upgrade with Klay.

No way they trade for Dame with Curry and Poole on the roster. Would be redundant with 3 sharpshooting guards who arent great defenders.

that's why last year, there were a lot of smoke screens about Pascal Siakam....he would had been amazing on GSW

in hindsight, GSW should had offered, Draymond Green, Kuminga, Wiseman, Moody and FRP for Pascal

The model is the Spurs they will keep the young talented cost controlled players and S&T a Wiggins plus for a top free agent if they want to come after the cap spikes

There’s got to be a mobile big out there that’d be a good fit. I don’t think that is Myles Turner from what i’ve seen of him though.

We definitely got lucky with no injuries or down time to Dray or Loon and we can’t count on that 100% again. We need way better big man depth. We need an athletic, quick on their feet defender. Even someone like Nerlens Noel.

Perfect fit would be Giannis. Let’s get him!

How are they a rising team? There's no higher to rise and their main guys are getting older. Sure they got some young guys but do you really think they'll be doing this once age really hits Steph?

They don't have to and can still contend. Just like this year. Essentially, the Warriors' plan worked out perfectly when most people – including players – doubted it. Why would they now of all times choose steer away from that?

Wow, even after we win the chip Raptors fans are STILL trying to trade Siakam here

No way!!! I cannot believe this. I thought this idea died last year.

Haha, how wild is it that people still think we should have made a trade despite just winning...! I was one of those guys in every thread saying "the Warriors are good, no trade needed" while getting told we had to make a trade or we couldn't win.
