Warriors Open As 5-1 Favorites To Win 2023 NBA Finals

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Jun 17, 2022 5:10 am

The Golden State Warriors opened up as 5-1 favorites to win the 2023 NBA Finals at Caesars Sportsbook.

The Nets and Celtics followed at 6-1 odds, with the Bucks, Suns, and Clippers rounding out teams with single-digit odds.

Caesars Sportsbook reportedly took a $10k bet on the Warriors to win next season's title in late May.

The Warriors opened this current season at 10-1 odds to win the title, behind the Lakers, Nets, and Bucks.

That won't hold.

The Warriors are not the strongest champions. A 53 win team. They were fortunate to face very inexperienced teams at every level.

They are not even really the best team in the league, frankly. I don't believe the Warriors would've beaten either the Bucks or the Heat in the NBA Finals.

After off-season retooling by other contenders (plus a bit of health) the odds will be less in the Warriors favor next season.

Warriors were clearly the best team. When they’re fully healthy, they’re tough to beat. They didn’t have Draymond, Klay, and Curry play a full game all season. They’re going to continue to load manage and win 50-55 games during the regular season just so they can be rested and healthy for their Playoff run.

and that is what people that complain about Stars resting do Not get. its Not the players that dont want to Play, it is the Teams that learned that their Chances to win a championship are higher, when their Stars Play less games.

one should think that the next step would be a reduction of regular season games...

NBA will never shorten the season. The NBA is an entertainment company. Without the fans and games, the league would turn into the WNBA where players make slightly more than minimum wage.

This isn’t college football where people vote on who goes to the playoffs. This is the NBA where it is proven on the court. The Warriors ARE the best team in the NBA this season because they earned it on the court.
