Orlando Magic On Social Media: Which Logo Of Ours Do You Prefer?

The Magic asked fans on all their social media platforms this morning which of their logos they liked most. Based on the comments across Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, we may be witnessing history and the end of the current logo as we know it. The response has universally been BRUTAL on the current logo.

Will add fans are coming out STRONG in support of abandoning the current logo and going back to the OG version.

As little stock as people usually put into PR questions like this, it's going to be hard for the organization to ignore this response. It's probably the most engaged I've seen Magic fans on social media in a decade.

The City Edition jerseys were a big hit with people wanting to bring back the old logo. Personally, I only own stuff with the old logo/uniforms and think it would be incredible if they went back.

They do this every so often and then still never change anything. I gave up on the Magic figuring out their lame logo and brand.

That's funny because I loved those jerseys followed by the original striped ones but I HATED the Dwight Howard jerseys (03-08) they were so boring even the blue color they used was boring. I'm not a big fan of the orange jerseys we use now but people seem to love them so to each his own.

Yeah, I hate all of our jerseys except the first pinstripe jerseys. That is my all-time favorite jersey of any sports team. That jersey is widely viewed as one of the best ever by all NBA fans.

Stardust B-ball logo is an absolute NBA classic. It looks like it was designed on a Commodore 64 but that's the charm. Sure, tidy it up a little if you need to, but the essence of the Orlando Magic is not in the goofy typeface but in that simple, elegant logo. Typical Magic to dump the Oladipo logo and keep the Fournier typeface.

Exactly why I started the thread. I work at an entertainment company as well and we are always checking fan response this way. I think this was a temperature check and the results are fans hate the current logo and LOVE the original (and to some young fans the second “T-Mac-era” one).

It’s likely the start of something so I don’t expect anything this year, but surely something is in the works.

In addition to the original logo, you give me the Magic original Jock Jams “Are you ready for this” song during intros? I can die happy. We would be a full scale 90s fan service team.

Also, it that many people don’t know it because we don’t win that much.. but what are everybody’s thought about playing the cheesy I got the magic in me song at the end of a winning game?
