He's actually on the block for a 1st round pick with teams hoping he becomes available for mulitple 2nds instead.

I hope the Magic can get one of the picks in the early-to-mid 20's for him. He could be a servicable bench player for many contenders around the league.

Like a car, the longer you hold unto Ross, the lower his value gets.

attach 35 to him if it will get a 20's 1st.

His value is not first round value, unfortunately. Just like Fournier's wasn't. Not in his final year with a down season. Maybe a very late first but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Ross + #35 to Mem for #22 OR #29. They need bench shooting.

If Harris is gone we could flip Ross for Malik Beasley. That would save Minnesota 4m and he's in his final year with a team option for a second year. Beasley is probably better than Ross at playing the SG. Ross could go to a playoff team.

Ross + 32 + 35 for a mid-20s is a good deal for Orlando and for Ross.

I feel like we have been shopping him for some time now

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

Almost no one is under the cap, and those that are would not likely be interested in wasting that space on T Ross.

So it's either one of four teams with cap space: Detroit, San Antonio, Portland, Indiana
or
Two teams have TPEs big enough to accommodate his salary: Boston and Portland

We can probably get a first for him as long as we are taking back the appropriate salary, but it would be a player someone else is dumping and not likely an asset. I just can't see a viable option to trade him for just picks. It's only possible for those five teams above.

Lol, on the block for 2nd round picks we’ll trade away for nothing anyway? Just say he’s up for grabs to whoever wants him.

T-Ross isn’t a veteran. He’s just a teammate. He’s not a Gary, RoLo, or MCW. And that’s OK for most teams currently in the league.

Ross’ value is at an all-time low. We couldn’t get a first rounder for him at the trade deadline. He’s entering the final season of his contract and be shot under 30% from 3. He lost us more games than won, IMO. Best you can do from a draft perspective I’d trade him, 32, and 35 for a pick in the 20s. Unless we can trade up again into the later part of the lottery, I don’t think it’s worth it. WeltHamm do not historically value picks 20 and above.

He regressed in each of last 3 seasons, is expiring contract and simply plays poor basketball.
They won't get first round pick for him. Period.

Just vaiwe him.

That might be a good trade here. A team that has a larger than Ross' contract could trade for him the 32 + 35 for a mid-20s. THis is how a team that could use Ross could see him as a cap-savings.

Duncan Robinson from Miami as an example. Miami saves millions this year, gets out of Robinson's contract. And gets two probable role players for a player that should help their bench. Orlando gets Robinson as its new starting SG. And at 27, Walker Kessler, John Butler, or Jaylin Williams could be brought in to solidify the depth chart with Bamba's probable exit.

Whether exactly this, it is the kind of move I can imagine.

T Ross is still a capable player.

He's had the tools to be much more than a capable player. He should have at the very least been a starter and team leader.

Personally I think he's only lacked the mamba mentality. If he had it he wouldn't have settled for being a career bench player.

If I'm in the front office I'm not telling him that. I'm telling him sorry dude we tried but only got offers for second round and late first round picks. We feel that you give us a lot more value as our starting shooting guard. Fultz, Franz, Jabari, and WCJ could really benefit from your experience and your ability to spread the floor.

This could very easily be TRoss best chance to show the player that he could be.

And it might change the culture around here. Maybe we send the message that we don't give up on our players and we don't give in every time they demand a trade
