average nba player has 6'10 wingspan , stands at 6'7.

At PF average nba player stands at 6'9, has over 7 foot wingspan, weights 230 pounds and has 36 inch vertical.

PF and SF are by far most athletic positions in nba. Why people think Jabari will just "shoot over" people who know he can't do anything but shoot over them is beyond me.

He enters nba with 2 skills.
1) shooting
2) team defense

Shooting has to translate for him or he has nothing. Defense is very hard to know how it will translate, because his "defense" had Kessler factor.

If player isn't out there being Steph Curry for 3 at college ,i'm not burning 1st overall pick with shooting as only clear strenght. (especially if that "shooting" comes with 32% mid range and 52% around rim and crappy 43% 2FGA)

Remember, Jabari is the consensus favorite and the likely pick so he'll be here for the next 8 years.

Most from people who just want to complain and aren’t happy no matter what we do. I think I am leaning slightly Chet but yea the nitpicking is getting a bit much especially with every player you can find something to nitpick. I would not have any issue with Jabari either. It’s razor thin between those two. I am even open to Banchero if you feel and get the vibe he wants to be here for the long term

He is guarded by 6'6 non nba player on that picture. You can guard Jabari with 6'10 forwards or even centers and he wont punish you going to the rim.
He was locked by 6'6 guard against miami and 6'4 guard against Texas.
We have 6'7 wing who can shoot above anyone on the move and off screen like Smith cant. He is more athletic than Smith with better handle and yet his impact is limited. I guess why.
Miami doubled and triple teamed him.

Great article on how they were guarding him. Most of the time he just couldnt create any space even without being traped.

I am almost certain he wont be the pick.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Jabari should work on the Dirk fade away.

TBH, it's a really bold move to post something like this on your IG. He might have assurances he's going #1 or to Orlando at least if there were a trade down.

That's not Jabari's IG, it's his fan page. They are getting some pics I haven't seen before and Jabari started following them.

I think the Magic have let him know he's going #1 tho.

except he showed he can hit from 3 on the right side. but we all know Duke puts players into their system and he was leaned on to be a playmaker and score down low. but he did hit solidly from the right side. so i disagree with the thought that NBA 3 point is beyond his range.

He showed he can hit 29% from the right wing and 16% from the left wing, his 33% overall from beyond is already alarming without accounting for the additional range in the NBA.

and how much time did he work on that shot versus his inside game that Duke wanted him on? they already had their wing shooters.

19 yr old, solid shooting form, im not concerned.

Paolo shot around 40% from 3 on catch and shoots. Reason why it was down to 33% was because of a lot of step back and forced 3s he had to hoist. He’s got a good shot.

That’s like the worst argument I’ve read so far this whole draft discussion :noway:

I've got to agree...of the big 3, Jabari had, by far, the least NBA talent on his team (and the one was strictly a shotblocker) to draw away any defenders from doubling (or more). I really like Paolo too, but I think it's fair to say Jabari had the most offensive responsibility squarely on his shoulders and the resultant defensive attention...and tough shots. Chet wasn't even the leading scorer on his team, which is fine because he's unselfish, but I'd say its clear that if "forced shots" are an excuse for inefficiency then Jabari's shooting pct from deep is even more impressive. Carrying a team was Cole's excuse for inefficiency, Jabari doesn't even need that story.

So, you're taking Chet because NBA defenders are bigger and stronger and Jabari's not physically ready for that

33.8 isn't even that bad of a percentage when you take into account everything else he could bring. If he actually is 40% on catch and shoot( I don't know if that stat is accurate) then that furthers the point that his shot is far from broken. But I can tell by the eye test his shot will be fine. We are not talking about a Ben Simmons/ Michael Kidd Gilchrist situation. Banchero can shot and is willing to shot the ball. Down 2 in an do or die game vs Texas Tech he stepped into a huge 3 with confidence . I forget how much time was left but it was a big time shot.
