Magic twitter did post it with other pictures the day of the workout. This is nothing.
I just looked and didn't see it.

Hmm my bad. I do remember definitely seeing that picture from the Magic though. Might’ve been one of those social media stories or articles.

I’m still pretty confident that Chet is going to be the pick come Thursday night.

The Magic’s Big Three about to be a 3/4 Jabari Smith, a 3/4/5 Jonathan Isaac, and a 2/3/4 Franz Wagner.

PF and SF are by far most athletic positions in nba. Why people think Jabari will just "shoot over" people who know he can't do anything but shoot over them is beyond me.

So, you're taking Chet because NBA defenders are bigger and stronger and Jabari's not physically ready for that

This feels like Luka Doncic draft . You know who best player is, Chet, by a mile, but here comes army of GMs ready to overthink it because of...reasons.

Chet is taller than opposition, longer and has all the tools in a toolbox. He is skinny. whooho. Big deal. It's not 1985, nobody will be pounding on him at PF anyway.

I feel like there's a lot more inherent risk with Chet as a star even if he does have the highest ceiling, which I think he does. Not injury stuff like other people weirdly claim, just his style of play I don't think will lend himself with an easy transition like Luka.

Well he will get plenty of opportunities to set pick and just roll at rim and make pass or finish plays. Execlly play that he excelled at college. On defense he is pretty much plug & play. He menaged to hide Timma whole season long as defensive anchor.

Being guy who is not shy away from contact for him is very important. Yes he is toothpick, but he is skilled and isn't afraid of contact. And look at Scottie Barnes, he has stone hands, but on his positioning alone he gets 15 ppg ( and just rewatch allstar weekend to see how little talent he actually has in terms of shooting & finishing around rim) . But being in right place at right time was enough for him to even won ROY. ( again, his shooting touch around rim is Bismack Biyombo level bad at times )

And Holmgren is simply two way prospect, rim protection, passing, okey rebounding, shooting. He has it all. It's impossible to imagine ALL his tools fail him all at once at pros.

FWIW, we never seem to pick who I have my choice on that's why this draft I'm fine with any of the top-3. LOL

Just wish we get this over with.

I think Chet will be just another player when he plays against bigger, faster competition. We saw the way his stats declined as he played better teams.

The Magic I'm sure have deep-dived into his stats and will make the best choice.

There's so much young talent already on this team, part of me thinks the Magic are just waiting for the best trade offer (player(s) and future assets), especially if it's from Okc or Hou.

Chet is a full year older than Jabari and played in an inherently inferior conference. Age is one of the biggest factors when determining upside, and Jabari being a star at such a young age, in a better conference, bodes better for his future. With him just turning 19 there is still a chance he grows a little bit more as well. Don’t overthink it, take the 6’10 sweet shooting big who can get his shot off against anyone. Not convinced on Chet’s upside at all given he was old for a freshman and played in a mediocre conference.

My biggest issue when I watch Chet is just in how he moves around. He doesn't look like a fluid NBA athlete moving around the court. I get that he's a 7 foot+ player but he's also NOT a post player. I am just not sure he moves well enough to be anything more than a floor spacer on offense....to me he looks like Bamba but with better rim defense.

At this point, is it safe to assume that PB did not come to Orlando for an interview/workout?

WeHam will never take a risk like Holmgren at #1.

Especially when they can have a sure floor guy like smith without being criticized.

All they want is just to let time pass, postponing judgement, and Jabari Smith is perfect in that sense.

Also, the famous "long arms, athletic, tall, ecc."after Anthony and Suggs should even be not mentioned(those journalists like
KOC who did it,pretty showed they do not know what they talk about the magic)

If this was not the #1 pick...say it we had the #3 pick (with the same guys available to us) would you change your mind on who you wanted?

I only ask that because people seem really obsessed with "getting a #1 pick type of player." I think its pretty obvious that Jabari Smith FITS this roster better than the other prospects

To me this draft feels more like 2020... three clear guys at the top and then a separation. The 2018 draft was almost overwhelmingly talented with big talent everywhere....somehow the Magic found a bust at #6. To me this draft feels more like 2020 in terms of total talent, a favorite at the top with some discussion about the other guys but at the end of the end of the day I believe we will be choosing Jabari.

And yes, I have questions about whether Holmgren's frame can hold up over continuous 82 game seasons.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

I wanna know about this as well. I mean, it was a shocker to know that we worked out SS. No one would have ever known if he didnt say it on an interview.

Maybe we worked out PB already but no one confirmed or saw anything.
