OG getting a little overrated, imo
If he’s the primary piece of Portland’s renovation, I don’t see them making the playoffs next year

Re: **Fantasy Trade Thread 2022**
1. Lowry and duncan really lowered their trade value this year. Consider that in your fantasy trades.
2. The only names I'm really interested in trading for (on a reasonable price) are :
D. Mitchel
Z.Lavine
B.Beal
D.Lilard
J.Grant
The first 4 are legit scorers that should be an upgrade over Herro, provide the scoring puch we need and will cost Herro + Duncan + assets.
Grant won't cost Herro, and that's the appeal. He's a decent scorer who plays good defense AND he's playing PF - our weakest position.
I highly doubt we trade for random journeyman that are not on this list. We need a new difference maker type player, we don't need a few new average rotation guys.

Jonathan Isaac.
Now 24yrs old, hasn’t played NBA ball since the bubble, and has 3/52 owing on his deal. Also plays the same position as whoever the Magic are likely to take at #1.
His value is hard to gauge, and he’s a bit of a loose cannon as a personality, but I have a hard time thinking of a more depressed asset that could be attainable for relatively meager cost.
Duncan and #27? Sounds cheap, but look at what Wood just went for. And he’s healthy. Magic could use some spacing and vets to help their young guys grow.
I dunno, I could be way off on that and we may have to add other bits into it, but he’s a name I’ve been thinking about.
If not for our window I would consider it. All nba defender, average shooter at best. Hasn’t played in 2 seasons. If we’re going to use basically our only tradeable salary (when it comes to a role player in return) we need to use that and a pick or 2 on someone who is relatively healthy and we know will be a consistent player, nunbers and impact wise, on the court for us

gom was one of his staunchest supporters during that draft. Then I stopped by the T&T board and I read gom saying Isaac can go fly a kite.
As you say, maybe the personality isn't right. Not right enough when paired with his injury history.
Massive injury risk, but if Duncan is gonna be DNP’d for the foreseeable future…
I do worry about the personality fit. Questionable. Very questionable.
But getting off a year of Duncan’s deal and adding a player that would significantly impact our 3/4 spot for the long term is intriguing.
Defense would be pretty nutty with Isaac. Kid has a jumper too.
Who would you rather have, Bamba or Isaac?
Easily Bamba, not even close for me. Better shooter than issac and adds some size and rim protection.

Portland is going to get a high level role player with that pick, after that the market heats up for us imo.

He’s not a guy to take a team like portland to the next level but throw him in at the 4 on a team like ours and he makes us better for sure.

I was on the “Get Bamba” train last offseason as I thought he’d fit well with Bam. Realistically, he’s not a fit here (well, he is, just not with our small ball ethos). He’ll also probably be too expensive and someone will overpay for the potential of what he could be.

Re: **Fantasy Trade Thread 2022**
I would like us to trade OKC our 2022 FRP for their 34th 2022 pick and have our protected 2025 pick convert to just a 2026 unprotected giving us access to use 2023, 2025, 2027 and 2029 FRPs.
Trade Robinson, Yurt and 2025 FRP for Harrison Barnes.
Trade Herro, Lowry, 2023, 2027 and 2029 FRPs for Bradley Beal.
Hope for a Wall buyout at deadline.
Vincent/Wall?
Beal/Oladipo
Butler/Strus
Barnes/PJ
Bam/Dedmond
No way it all falls in line for us to pull off but that would be my dream offseason.

If the 2026 is owed to OKC we can’t send out the 2025 or 2027. If we can get the 2025 unprotected then we can use 23/27/29. But there’s no way we get the use of all four while still owing a pick to OKC.

Damn, you right well maybe we can convince another team to give us a protected 2025FRP for our 2022FRP and a mid to late 2nd if our wanted guy is there.
Then we'd have 2023, 2025 (maybe 1-15 protected), 2027 and 2029 to trade correct?

The lotto protection in 25 makes it almost impossible to trade 27 & 29. The wording for the 27 needs to be “27, or next available” to cover the Stepien Rule, but the 29 can’t have that wording this far out, it has to either extinguish or turn into a 29 2nd (which we can’t then trade until after the 25 goes to OKC). A team might be willing to gamble on us not missing the PO in 25 …
Getting someone else’s 25 doesn’t mitigate this issue. We need to either get it back or get it unprotected if we want to trade 3 or more future picks.
We can still always trade # 27 after drafting for the other team. Rights to #27/23 1st/27 1st/29 1st (that turns into 29 2nd if 25 doesn’t go to OKC) can still be done now.

Man these protections suck, Okay.
Robinson, MIA 2022 FRP to Sacramento.
Yurt to OKC.
Barnes, OKC 2022 2nd (34) to Miami and the Pick protections removed from our 2025 pick to OKC.

Honestly wouldn’t need all those picks to acquire Beal because if Beal comes here it would be a free agency decision and would need to be a sign and trade. Herro and a 1st are more than enough compensation for Washington to get back for a guy who wants to leave

Miami would need to include Lowry in any deal for Beal. Have to match what could be a deal of about 45-50 mil per. I just don’t see it happening unless Lowry and Butler come to some sort of agreement but logically what it took to get Lowry here i just don’t see him getting dealt after one year unless it’s to Philly to be closer to his mom or something along those lines. Seems like too many complicated variables. He stays for at least one more year.

The hope if you are including Lowry in trades is he basically ask out because he refuses to go too Riley fat camp.

Yea definitely, I was meaning Herro and the pick being the “assets” of the trade

Beal is such a tease. Not even sure I want him at any rate, and like you say MWP, any deal has to involve Lowry.

I can't see Beal going anywhere. He's not a super impactful player and he's able to get the mega max. I know he wants to win but he is going to take that money and be beloved for not leaving Washington.

I really want nothing to do with Jackson, but if it gets Lowry out and Jackson in, then I would be all for it.
Regardless, no way Clips trade away Morris and Powell and Jackson as that is most of their productive bench.
