I'm not an east coast person....so a dumb question..... Do rich people ride trains? If not, is it close enough driving where it makes a difference? Like Google says 4.5 hours driving but I could imagine driving is hell through there. At that point, you could just say play in Milwaukee or a city with direct flights to Neward and you would probably get there just as quickly.

Flight from Milwaukee would be much more of a hassle. And there are not nearly as many direct flights from Milwaukee-Newark as the constant flights/train from DC to Newark.

Yeah it’s an Amtrak. I’ve only ridden the Acela a few times but I didn’t have why issues. I’m sure there are some knuckleheads but I haven’t seen any. Same with NJ Transit. They have people checking everyone for tickets and tickets are more expensive than subway tickets. But in the city they pretty much let the homeless run rampant on the subway. I avoid it as much as possible.

Nets want to trade him and don’t want him long term.

The only teams that would be willing to offer a big, multi year contract to Kyrie are the Lakers and the Knicks.

Neither the Lakers or Knicks can sign him outright.

Neither the Lakers or Knicks are willing to attach major assets, if much at all, for the right to sign Kyrie to a long term deal. And rightfully so given these last few years.

It’s a cluster **** and I don’t know who breaks first, the Nets, Kyrie, the Lakers or the Knicks or a 3rd party willing to facilitate such a deal for minor assets. It’s one to watch that’s for sure.

This once again shows how bad of a decision maker KD is on his career planning. Although he won 2 with the warriors, that decision and those rings won't make criticizes go away and put him much top on all time list. And now kyrie and harden failure. What reasonable person with that great talent would trust kyrie as the 2nd option on the team to fight for championship for years while knowing his past issues with his team.
For kyrie, i think there is only one player that can make him a reliable piece of a championship team and it's Lebron. I know it's much unlikely to happen but Kyrie-Lebron-Davis is a top 3 locked contender core with Lebron knowing how to manage kyrie.

Thing here is, in my reading of the tea leaves. I don’t know how committed the front office is to extending the LeBron era. So any investment is going to be minimal I suspect. I think they are even looking forward to pushing the reset button after next season and trading at future assets would be counter productive to that. For this season? I think the plan is to improve along the margins without spending much future capital and kind of let LeBron stew in his juices and take some responsibility for this mess as well. Even if that means pushing him out the door.
