The top of mind mind-boggling basketball comment is from the on-air, paid analysts thinking Lakers can snap their fingers and Kyrie is in yellow & gold.

Also - Tony Brothers being a pair of officials with the last name of Tony.

"Bird couldn't hang in this era" and "Curry's just a shooter" first come to mind. I'll see if I can think of more interesting ones though lol...

I remember webber was calling a game once and a player up faked at the 3PT line and took it in for a layup. He then says something ludicrious like "see, he didn't settle for the 3 and took it to the cup. analytics would tell you that's wrong!" :noway:

Endless thread titles with the "(insert star player) has been exposed."
"Wes, Hill, Ibaka, Allen, Nwora, Brook, Pat, Ingles, Khris are all slow-mo, injury prone ... a sandcastle waiting for playoff wave to get wrecked. A castle with no long-range archers... is destined to fall. That is all I have to say."-- FOTIS

I knew someone who believed an article that Kawahi was a trump supporter and he asked out of San Antonio because Pop was a democrat

People are always surprised when I tell them Skip Bayless would make a great NBA head coach.

That losing in early rounds or not making the Playoffs is somehow better than losing in the Finals.

Some people legitimately think that a 3-0 record is better than a 3-4 record.

"Curry is just a shooter" is the most common one and when people say that it tells me they don't actually watch basketball and just regurgitate what they've heard other people say.

Pretty much this. The craziest basketball takes are the takes where people so confidently proclaim that legends of the game weren't actually that good. "Oh this guy sucked" or "that guy only won because of his teammates"!

Just braindead talks that showcase many fans don't understand how hard it is to be a great basketball player.

Haven't heard that one. If anything Lowry is underrated. He doesn't get the love he deserves. he was one of the best players of the 10's.
