I dont think they are similar at all and will compliment each other well

Offensively, jabari is more of a shot creator for himself using a couple dribbles at most. likes to get to his spot and shoot over the defense. Also a great off ball shooter.

franz is more of a swiss army knife offensively who doesnt need the ball to be effective, although he has playmaking potential.

defensively, i think they do a lot of the same things, but in todays nba thats probably a good thing.

Even Durant had decently broad shoulders. Enough that you could imagine him bulking up some.

I'm really confused on Chet. I love his skills and he moves pretty well, but.. I just think Paolo is more likely to find his ceiling. Smith looks like a 3 and D guy to me. I don't get the hype.

its his whole body type. He said that hes 185 on thursday, that means if he adds 50 pounds he would be 235? 50 pounds is going to slow anyone down a signifigantly, especially if he packs it on too quickly. and the whole thing with chet is mobility. This worked for durant because he was already super athletic and fast when he came in. Chet is not that.... all that being said, if everything works out for chet, hes the best in the draft, its just not as likely as the other guys.

At least Bradley had shoulders.

True. I always remembered Bradley as a guy with stones for feet. Maybe my memory is mixed up tho.

Just my way of saying Chet is super slight.

I think Chet has a chance to be good but with his size, he's a high-risk high-reward player. That's not the risk you take at #1.

He’s already not quick. Which is my knock on him. How in the world will he guard anyone that is quick, so he can’t defend most guards and SFs, and he’s 185 trying to defend centre’s and PFs, most of whom are quicker than him? Maybe his Offense translates and so does the help shot blocking, but I cannot imagine him being a passable nba defender,

Need elite wing players in today's game to be truly successful as a team. Or, a big man with the athleticism to play like a wing player like Giannis. Orlando needs to take Smith at 1.

When was the last time a draft produced two busts first two picks? If ever? I think this is one of the weakest drafts in a while. I'm not sold on chet or Jabari.

It happened the last time a Jabari was drafted top-2.

He's like a less athletic and even skinnier version of Porzingis. That would scare me away from picking him

The problem is that i'm not particularly enamored with any of the other options. You want the next Julius Randle? Or the next michael Porter jr?

I would go with the upside pick and take Chet.

The only way I'd be happy with Chet is if Orlando trades down, still gets Chet and then gets some value. The last time Orlando traded down from #1 they ended up with a pick that became Vince Carter. Now, they're Orlando so they mess things up and didn't actually get Vince Carter, but in theory they could have...

Honestly I'm not sure I like the idea of Orlando using the pick anyway. If there's not a sure fire superstar there, then there might be other things to do with the pick.

Everything I’ve seen and read has Orlando leaning towards Jabari Smith at number one. They’ve also spent more time interviewing him than they did Chet or Paulo.

He reminds me of Rashard Lewis but a much better and more versatile defender. That sounds like a really good player to have on your team. He’s the best shooter in the Draft at 42% from 3 last season.

This draft feels like it's missing it's top 5 players so we're just starting at 6.
So many concerns. So little hype. Everyone waiting on Victor I guess?

When I looke at Chet, I think of Porziņģis. A lot of potential, yet thin and frail making him susceptible to injury.

To be fair, Bradley was actually pretty good defensively, averaging 3+ blocks several times and being a top 5 shot blocker for about a decade. His primary problem seems to be more on the offensive end. He wasn't super skilled and struggled with consistency.

Offensively, he had a career 50.0% TS.

And even though he was HUGE (7'6") he was also taken after playing one year at BYU... and a two-year layoff while serving his Mormon mission. He was a lot taller than Holmgren, but not as skilled or smart. We'll see what that means soon enough.

I very much hope Orlando takes Jabari. Chet would be a perfect fit in OKC, and they have the patience to let him fill out.

2013, 2014 and 2017 come to mind. A lot of other drafts have a completely forgettable #2 pick also.
