Jabari will be over 600 TS in his prime. Of course, your FG% will be low if you're taking a large amount of 3-pt shots.

Jabari seems pretty self aware. He even said he took some really bad shots and forced things he didn't have to.. compared to maybe someone like Cole or, I don't know, tons of people in the history of the NBA who never saw a shot they hated.

Also, guys will get more spacing in the NBA for the same reason that Summer League looks a mess for some players like Franz. It's more unorganized, people are shot hunting, you can load up on certain players.. NBA is really what you do with space and learning how to speed up your own game (while playing at your own pace), realizing how quickly NBA guys can get into plays, etc. Even bad shooters in the NBA can make something out of nothing and create gravity compared to NCAA guys that will be selling real estate in a few years.

While we aren't the best team, Jabari (or whoever we draft) are going to get higher quality shots than they got in college because they're not getting keyed in on right away.

the more i watch Banchero stuff, the more i have this feeling,Donciclike.

not making any comp, but this scenario when in 4-5 years anyone will ask : what orlando and okc were thinking?how can you not saw how good Paolo was?why take a role player and an always-injured guy before him ? is growing stronger on me.

lighter version of 2018 draft somehow

That is extremely unlikely scenario.
His shot alocation is very similar to Klay, and Klay is career 57% TS player who's TS never cracked 60% .

in NBA jumpshooters don't get many FTs.

Dear god. Please stop posting betting odds. They do not matter one bit.

Any draft shows you turn on right now will mention the betting odds.

Its actually the most accurate predictor out
there. When money is involved, people tend to get things right.

2 days before the draft and I’m back in limbo about who I want, so I’m just going to be fine with whoever. (Banchero has slightly overtaken Jabari for me by a little bit)

I have a feeling that Magic will pick up Paolo Banchero and will trade him to Houston for the 3rd pick and another first round pick.

Don't see the point in getting caught up in all these rumors and speculation. Tons of these are plainly fishing for clicks. We have no idea what the front office is thinking, we'll find out on draft day.

If I had to make a guess today I would say Paolo is the Magic’s pick. If that is at #1 or not is the question.

You’re kidding right?

The most accurate predictor out there? What in the world. These lines fluctuate like crazy in huge ways.

Edit: Vegas is great at spreads and money lines. I just think for this, it’s more reactionary from $ bet than inside info especially w/ our FO.

The betting favorite is almost always the pick at #1. I think Anthony Bennett was the one exception.

I would 100% be cool if banchero was the pick. I just dont think this front office goes off the beaten path like that. I think they stick to the script and go jabari.

I typically feel the same way... but.... Banchero is a player i can see them zigging while everyone zags.

lol... i can see everyone scrambling as the magic do what people didn't expect.

Bennett’s draft was also the last time there was no arguably consensus #1, other than maybe 2020. Vegas odds mean nothing for the draft for teams that leak nothing. :)

Anthony Edwards was around the same odds as Jabari.

Here's a history of betting odds.

It’s interesting.

The word is that Houston is head over heels for Paolo. Not only did they attend his private workout, but Givony reported that hours after he had a workout in Houston they made the Christian Wood trade to clear space for him to be their forward of the future.

Personally, even if Paolo wasn’t their guy, I’d be putting out heavy smoke screens right now that he was in an effort to entice Houston to move up. I’m really not all that impressed with the moves their new GM has made thus far, && I’d be trying to see if we could swindle him into giving up additional assets to get his guy.
