Advice for Seeing Jays in Seattle?

Hey everyone, sorry if this isn't new topic worthy...

I'm flying from Toronto to Victoria then driving or sailing with friends to see the Jays in Seattle in a couple weeks. Has anyone done the road-trip before and has any words of wisdom? Best area of the stadium to sit, places in the hood/city to visit? We'll be heading there Friday and leaving Sunday. Not sure how many games we'll attend.

There is so much to do & see. I'm not sure where to start?

There's really not a bad place to watch a game at T-Mobile Park. The Beer Garden in Centerfield is the popular hangout spot.

As far as places to visit & things to do in the city...Alki (West Seattle) is a favorite. Especially on a nice Summer day.

Pike Place (Market) gets mentioned a lot but there is so much more to see.

Thanks! Is the Beer Garden a ticket... or is it like whatever they have at the Dome in CF... first come first serve?

It's going to feel so much like a home game, you'll be wondering why the Jays are up first. It really is a blast.

I went about 8 years ago, and the crowd was so full of Jays fans, that the crowd was booing the Seattle pitcher on pick-off attempts.

This series really is a lot of fun. Have you got your hotel room yet? If not, do so soon and be prepared to pay. Seattle is expensive at the best of times, but when the Jays come to town...I've seen everything sold out at $500/night.

The ballpark is downtown. You won't have any problem finding things to do. Seattle has a great downtown area.

going with a group of 7 friends for my bach, from thursday to monday. going to the friday game for sure (booked via elite sports tours) and gonna try to get tickets for the saturday game as well. staying right downtown so should be a helluva time.

besides the obvious pike place spots like pike place chowder or beechers (which, make no mistake, i am looking forward to), any other must try or must visit restos in that immediate area? looking for a decent patio for dinner one night and a lively bar/club within walking distance as well.

This is what 40 years of bad Baseball will do to a fanbase.

I didn't realize Canadians liked the sport so much until I went to an M's/Jays game in person.

I figured the Hockey stereotype was mostly true. But not necessarily for other sports. :wink:

I mean, the Leafs are at 55 years of bad hockey, and it only feels like a visiting home game when the Habs come to town.

We also have the "advantage" of being the only team nationally.

I get it. We're just as diehard for Football here. It's on a level that a sport like Baseball could never reach.
