If this happens, I’m convinced the Lakers hate me.

Is it too much to ask just for some role players who show up and enjoy playing in the NBA? Kyrie is fun as hell to watch when he’s locked in and at least he contributes to winning more than Westbrook. But, boy oh boy he’s a weirdo.

Closest thing to a 6’ version of Kobe though.

Lakers reportedly offered Russ, THT + 2026 first round pick for Brogdon and was rejected. Not sure if Hield was included, considering the salaries do not match. Like I’ve said before the Lakers are not fooling anyone into thinking we aren’t desperate to get rid of Russ. It’s also been clear for a while now that THT does not have a lot of value. Some were truly mistaken when they thought Indy would get right of Buddy/Brogdon/Turner for table scraps.

That's true. Basketball wise.

Kobe would never, ever, ever pull the s**t he's done however. I don't understand how guys can claim they love Kobe so much and look at him as an idol/mentor and then proceed to miss games for any and every reason.

I was a fan of Kobe as a kid growing up and I don't even miss days at work when I'm sick because him and my Dad set that example for me when I was growing up.

I'd certainly be more on board than Westbrook however. Anything to get that scrub off the team.

I’m sure these were the principles of a deal that was talked about. I’m sure there’s more pieces but I bet this is coming from the Pacers side to boost Brogdon and Turners value lol.

We are trying to move Russ though

Thybulle might be a nice pick up in addition to #23... what do you y'all think?

"Sixers pursuing P.J. Tucker; Matisse Thybulle and No. 23 pick being shopped to create cap space."

Trade Anthony Davis, tht for cam Johnson, miles bridges and ayton

Than flip ayton and cam....to Detroit for Isiah Stewart and saddiq bey

Maybe Brooklyn would trade Irving and Seth for Westbrook and saddiq bey

If Kyrie doesn't agree with the Nets for a new max contract, a sign and trade deal is highly unlikely to work for a team he wants to go. So instead of signing for the midlevel and leaving so much money wouldn't it be wise to choose the following: Sign with a team with big cap space (OKC) play for the first months there so then he gets traded to Lakers for Westrbook and a pick!
Isn't this a win win senario for eveyone involved, who says no?

Lol why would a team like OKC give him the type of money he wants if they have any doubt regarding his intentions and commitment? I don't think there is any contending team in the NBA that could afford Kyrie as a FA...and Kyrie is way too much of a risk, too old, and simply not good enough for any non-contending team to sign him.

So I actually think a S&T is one of two likely outcomes. I think Kyrie signing in FA with a non-contending team is extremely low....as is him leaving that much money on the table to sign with the MLE. So the two most likely outcomes to me are S&T and resigning with the Nets. Which outcome occurs really depends on if Kyrie is actually interested in staying with the Nets and the nets are refusing to pay him. If that's the case, I think the Nets will budge and pay him what he wants. If Kyrie isn't interested in the NEts and really wants to go somewhere else, then again, I think the Nets will budget and accept whatever they can.

I see a three team trade going down:

Lakers get: Irving and Mills

Nets get: Rozier and Hayward

Hornets get: Westbrook and 2027 Lakers 1st

Can we just have Rozier and Hayward?

If we do get Irving, it's so important we manage to get him in an opt-in and trade and that way we keep our MLE. We need as many pieces as possible to build around LeBron/Davis/Irving.

Nets fan here. I would be down for this trade, but Mills most likely opts out of his contract next week so he wouldn't be apart of any deal

Need to trade AD for KD!!!!

Trade Westbrook for rozier and Hayward.... I don't think pick is needed. ... Than trade Hayward, THT, Nunn, AD and 2picks... For KD and irving

"The Hornets are looking to trade one of their two first-round picks alongside Gordon Hayward to clear cap space for retaining Miles Bridges, per @WindhorstESPN."

I also think this is the most realistic deal, maybe Plumlee going to us or the Nets as well.

And I don’t think Mills is opting out. He’d be crazy to opt out. If he does that, he’s only getting a vet minimum somewhere.

Last season was so dysfunctional that I have no idea if Patty will want any part of the Nets outside of being here for Ben Simmons, who he is close to.

I like Mills but he's redundant since we have Seth Curry so I'd have no problem dealing him.

Yeah, I certainly don't think he'll be on the Nets. I imagine he'll opt-in to get his money and be traded either in this deal or a deal later in free agency.

I think the deal to make between the 3 teams is:

To Lakers: Irving, Mills, Plumlee
To Nets: Rozier, Hayward, future Lakers 2nd
To Hornets: Westbrook, Gabriel, 2027 Lakers 1st (Top 4 Protected)

Rozier/Hayward/KD/Simmons/Harris is a damn good closing line-up.
