Bradley Beal?
I think this is the move we at least attempt to make.
Can you imagine going from 22-60 to potentially
Fultz/Anthony
Beal/Suggs
Wagner/Chuma
#1/Isaac
WCJ/Bamba?

Re: Bradley Beal?
How do we get Beal without giving up Isaac, Anthony, Suggs, or our pick?

well, technically it is possible. it could be the time, he would be a great mentor to the young guys. but i agree that it isnt worth it.

Re: Bradley Beal?
If Beal opts out in Washington and becomes an UFA then yeah why not throw a max offer at him.
Chances are he's waiting to see how the draft shakes out. Or he is a part of a Washington draft night trade. Wasn't there just some story about him making up his mind on his future but waiting to reveal his decision? Could be a very interesting draft with unexpected twists and turns

Re: Bradley Beal?
There are reports he is turning down his deal. Why would it be a bad move for us? He is 28. A super star. A position we need. Dare I say the only position of need. Still in his prime. The Fultz, Suggs, Anthony experiment would have to sort itself out with one of them playing limited minutes or being dealt. To me he is a realistic target and pairing him with the #1 pick, Franz, WCJ, Isaac could make us pretty exciting.

If this is possible and we are not looking into it than our FO is not doing their job.

And no, I don't say that and secretly want him.

Re: Bradley Beal?
We’re not ready to add him. We need one of our cache of young guys to show they’re as good as him, and then we might be ready to add a name like him.
I wonder if it makes Washington aggressive to move up in the draft, maybe for the King’s pick?

Re: Bradley Beal?
I’d love to add Beal to this team, the math works, ie position of need, star level guy etc. But I don’t think that’s the goal yet, as this roster isn’t ready to engage in a courtship of his level talent just yet. We need to see who emerges as comparable talent. If Franz, Smith/Holmgren, Fultz, WCJr all hit on their potential, then adding a guy of Beals stature makes sense as we’d have the horses surrounding him to be a legit contender. I unfortunately think we’re a year away from being in that place.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

but you could also look at it as him mentoring the young horses. honestly, its not something i would chase, but i wouldnt hate it if it happened

Re: Bradley Beal?
He would be the best player we ever signed as a FA. Of course you do it if you have any chance to.
People act like we’re the lakers and can sign any superstar we want, or do you wanna tank for ever?!
