I feel like I'm getting a lot of anxiety about Chet. Amin El Hasan made a convincing case on NBA radios draft show a little bit ago that his physical tools are just extremely suspect. Has to do with the width of his hips and his shoulders. Even if he packs on muscle he won't necessarily be able to gain much in terms of girth to actually hold ground. On top of that he doesn't move like a wing he moves like a big. So he can't go around the perimeter. Just one guy's opinion but it was persuasive and fairly alarming.

Is Paolo's defense that bad? He'd have to be Enes Kanter for me to not feel good about drafting him versus Chet.

Not Kanter bad and still a lot of room to improve defensively (and I'm pretty low on Banchero and want to pick Chet)

I thought they still had cap space for this year but I was wrong. Doesn't change anything about OKC being the target n°1 for teams willing to get rid of salaries. My bad.

Troy Weaver seems closer to David Griffin than an elite GM in my opinion. He has several very good moves and several questionable ones.

I think it's fine for Detroit tbh. Weaver mistake was not trading Grant before (same mistake as the Rockets with Wood)

well Detroit had literally 0 assets (except Bey but they aren't trading him) so it doesn't help to know if pick 7 might be available or not.

Everyone needs to put their predictions here. Who will we take if we stay at 2 and 12? Who will we take if we trade up or trade down? What if Orlando picks Chet? I’ll post mine tomorrow morning.

2. CHET HOLMGREN
10. OKC moves up from 12 to 10 and pick JEREMY SOCHAN (please Spurs don't draft him)
34. Caleb Houstan (I have no clue who we are picking there but trying to guess based on old rumors)

Need to see what happens but don't like at all the #7 for OG rumors and Brogdon for maybe #10 or #11 and some bad salaries.

Those deals might not happen but I don't want Indiana or Toronto picking before OKC...higher chances of Toronto drafting Sharpe than Portland and Indiana likely going after AJG/Sochan or Sharpe if he falls.

My guess is Ivey/Paolo at 2 (or 4 from SAC for Ivey), and Sochan at 12

if we stay at 12 i'm super excited if we get Sharpe/Sochan, happy with AJG/Johnny Davis; ok with Duren and disgusted if we get Dieng/williams/Agbaji or whoever Presti might reach.

Chet and who the hell knows. If it’s a big, I don’t want sochan. Would be alright with Duren. Also cool with swinging for the fences with sharpe.
