Don't want to take the ball out of Fox's hands. Ideally we have Desmond Bane at the 2, Mikal Bridges at the 3, and healthy Isaac at the 4, and then we let Sabonis/Fox run the offense with 3 perfect fits lol. Unfortunately the perfect fits are hard to find, and you have to take some swings on talent.
But if you are lower on Ivey than most I could see how you would come to that conclusion. I think Murray is a very safe pick and I'm not married to either one.
I wanted Luka. I find it crazy at the time when they bypassed Luka just because "it took the ball away from Fox"
I hold the belief at the time that Luka >>> Fox.
I don't see the same thing with Ivey.
Look, I'm not gonna be pissed if the Kings draft Ivey. Ivey is a good player. If he somehow becomes this Ja-level player, I'm all for it. I just don't think he can be successful here unless a big change happens (i.e. move Fox) or Ivey is a better off the ball player/shooter than I give him credit for.
