We could use a wing like Baldwin to help in future battles against Boston

I don't know much about this draft but I'm opposed drafting centers.

Still feels like it could be a savvy swing for the fences type move if you're getting him at 24.
Reason for the question was I saw him featured on local news last night. The guy seemed very mature and polished in the interview. Just struggling with how the ‘experts’ could have a guy ranked so high in high school, and then suddenly stuff him back in the 40’s on draft mocks.
Every now and then there is a Wisconsin angle the Bucks miss out on. Not advocating we take him at #24, but I wouldn’t be upset if we did.

Re: 2022 NBA Draft
My last tier list based on most of the players mocked at #24 the last several months.
Pipedream/Hoping they fall picks:
Tari Eason
Jalen Williams
Would be happy/fine with:
Dalen Terry
Blake Wesley
E.J. Liddell
Walker Kessler
Nikola Jovic
Wendell Moore Jr
Christian Bruan
Uninspired/Meh Picks:
Andrew Nembhard
Bryce McGowens
Josh Minott
Jaden Hardy
Jake LaRavia
Patrick Baldwin Jr
Christian Koloko
Ismael Kamagate
Jaylin Williams (I know the board likes him more than me, so maybe I'll have to watch more of him)

I'm down for Pat Baldwin. A risk worth taking imo.

I think Jaden Hardy was the #3 overall in DX's first 2022 mock. All you had to do was watch him to know he's not a 1st rounder.

No love for Max Christie? He is my preference at 24.

People just get high school rankings wrong fairly often. Terrance Clarke was one of the top prospects in his class too despite a much lower ranked teammate being significantly better in high school. Then Clarke got to Kentucky and everyone saw he wasn’t actually good.
Baldwin was billed as a great shooter with great size despite struggling with his shot most of his high school career and that obviously carried over to college too. And then on top of that, he just doesn’t look like he can defend anyone or really contribute much outside of the theoretical shooting.

Re: 2022 NBA Draft
I would not take Baldwin in the top 40 personally. I don't see anything in his game that says he'll ever be able to defend anyone.

Re: 2022 NBA Draft
For the record, Baldwin probably wouldn't be in my Top-3 available at #24, but there's just so much of the draft stuff (interviews, medical records, private workouts) that we as the public aren't privy to. I think that stuff that gives us an insight into a prospect's personality and work ethic is incredibly important and kind of gets lost in the college tape and combine tests. If I'm convinced a guy has the mentality to improve and succeed, I can overlook poor college production depending on the circumstances. We see examples of it every year.

I like Kessler because he clearly has extremely high intelligence. He transferred away from North Carolina.

I didn't watch much of him, but he looks like a fun player. He's only... 19?! I'm intrigued.

If you believe hat passivity can be coached out of someone then Christie's an enticing prospect. Comparing Christie to Johnny Davis, the biggest difference is that Davis was always someone whose imprint on the game was felt whereas Christie would go through stretches where you didn't even realize he was on the court.

Nope. Dad played here in Wisconsin at superior.
