A guy I want with another pick is AJ Griffin. Wouldn't take him at #5 obviously but if he falls to the back part of the lottery I would love to add him.

His 3 point shooting is ridiculous to go with good defensive potential and thats always gonna make for a good fit in the lineup.

But to me it feels about as realistic as getting #7 from Portland did.

Charlotte has incentive to move Hayward to the Pistons, to keep Miles Bridges and to see the Pistons use up some of their cap space and keep them away from making Bridges an offer.

We still need to send back some salary so were not using up a whole $30 mil of cap-space on Hayward.

I'd rather not touch Hayward. It uses up too much cap space for what? A #13? Not enough and also let's Charlotte sign Bridges easier. Let's just go for Bridges with a max offer the second FA opens up.

Yeah #13 shouldn't cost $30 million of our cap-space, something has to go back to split that bill in half in my opinion.

Even if it's Hayward and #15 for Olynyk, I'd do that.

I think a deal like that could be on the table. Pistons have so much cap space that eating up 20 million on Hayward is a consideration. It might just be dependent on who Weaver really believes in. I don't know if there will be many surprises at the top of this draft, but that middle ground will make a mockery of mock drafts. Who knows...

If we sent Cojo out for Hayward, we'd still have enough for a max offer for Ayton.

I say its either the

#13 and Hayward
For
Olynyk

Or give up both picks if you want us to eat $30 mil

#13, #15, Hayward
For
#36

Getting two mid round firsts to take on two years of salary just doesn't sound realistic to me.

That two years of salary is around $60 million dollars, thats alot to ask someone to take on for a mid 1st.

Pistons getting that 13th pick for Hayward for Olynyk and CoJo might be more of a middle ground. A solid first for eating 15 million.

I wouldn't take any contract that ends beyond 2023.

I wouldn't mind Dangelo Russell if the Wolves wanna move on from him or Bogdanovic/Gallinari with picks involved.

If Troy is really playing chess we do a sign and trade with both Bridges and Ayton creating more cap for resigning Bags and possibly another sharp shooter. Just a thought. Having a three bigman rotation of Ayton, Bags, Stewart with small ball options of Bey and livers at the 4. Draft a SG.

Each year of that contract is worth a lotto pick. I'd want the 13 AND 15 for Hayward. That said, the Knicks might be a better trade partner if we're looking to pick up a 2nd lotto pick.

If feasible, this is what I'd do assuming Ivey drops to the Pistons tonight.

Yeah the Knicks are a good option where we could take on separate contracts in guys like Fournier and Noel for #11 possibly as the backbone.
