Top 2 at #19 for me:
Jalen Williams- everybody who’s anybody’s favorite riser. A lot of footage of him getting cooked off the bounce by future plumbers and firemen in the WCC, should benefit from fewer PoA responsibilities in the NBA. The combination of PF length with his shooting and legitimate PG skills is just so rare, and despite a mediocre first step on both ends of the floor, seems to have the tools to eventually not get hunted.
Dalen Terry- again, absurd length combined with legitimate PG skills. The shot needs to keep improving, but I think there’s enough touch to build on. Love his energy, court vision, activity level, competitive fire, and demonstrated willingness to put winning ahead of stats. When I read/hear about the qualities Connelly looks for in prospects, it seems like he’s describing Terry. I don’t typically put much stock into prospect interviews, but watching his, the kid just seems to have the eye of the tiger.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''
