This still blows my mind. He basically said Smith was a lock not too many hours ago and he was wrong.

I actually wonder if Woj realizes his power. 1 tweet from him can move 100's of millions in bets

Slightly off topic but I love the thesaurus Woj whips out to figure out new ways to say "team x is taking player z". Focused on, atop their list, etc.

Gotta give Vecenie credit going against Woj.

Vecenie on the Magic taking Jabari...

I’m STILL not as certain as some of my media colleagues to call this a lock, even less than two hours away from the event. The Orlando front office is extremely secretive and has done a phenomenal job of keeping this thing under wraps. It has done its due diligence on all of the top group of prospects in differing ways. I don’t think this decision has been made for weeks or anything like that, and we’ll just find out about it on draft night.

I'm down on Ivey and don't hate Murray but still...I feel sorry for Kings fans.

I like Perk, but man these comps aren't it.

Sigh....sorry Kings fans. I'm just projecting on my own observations but man does Ivey look like such a better prospect. Wish y'all the best with Keegan.

I'm okay with this for the Kings. I mean ideally you find a trade and still get your guy, but if you can't get enough or you aren't sure in your intelligence and you really love a guy, just take him. If you are right on the player it won't matter that you "took him too high".

Trust your own board not what mock drafters are saying.

I mean, Woj gets all his info from agents AFAIK so I have to assume the Magic told Smith's agent they were taking him or keen on him or however they worded it weeks ago. Or Smith's agent was trying to speak it into existance.

In hindsight it was interesting that the minute they got the #1 pick people were reporting it was Smith.

I may end up eating as much crow as many others, but I did call Murray to Sacramento if they couldn't find a trade partner. Failing a trade for a star, Murray fits what they need as well as anyone in this draft.

And I think the Murray/Ivey gap isn't all that big right now, it's not another Bagley gamble.

Ivey may turn out to be the better player, maybe by a lot, who knows. But I don't hate this #4 pick today.

And yes, this is posted early and who knows if these players even finish the night on these teams

I kind of thought the Kings were taking Murray... it seemed pretty leaked that they loved him.

Even if Ivey goes 5, this pick is going to be the first trade even if it happens later.
