Is he going to sit out? We have him signed for 4 years.

Just tell him to shut up and play.

hes not waisting his prime playing with Dleaguers lol... get real.. Durant to miami is happening. Jimmy / KD is happening. greatest DUO since pip jordan.

Isn't Jimmy doing the exact same thing

I would take Ben Simmons over anyone else on the Heat besides Jimmy.

destroying the east? lol, they could not even make a single finals.

Regular season. Also recall, they never were triumvirate full strength. I'm saying the condition of all kd, Kyrie, ben being full strength together and gelled.

regular season.

So ben Simmons will finally get what he wants. To be the number 1 option on a team. That may push his injury return time table to 2023-2024 season as he tweaks his previously repaired knee injury from the 2020 bubble and needs more time to rehab.

Acting like Tatum, Brown, RW3, and Smart are all untouchable assets for a top 5 player is pretty ridiculous. Durant will age well because his game isn’t heavily reliant on athleticism. No question if it was Durant on the Celtics instead of Tatum he wouldn’t have fizzled, the Celtics check all the boxes KD needs to do his thing which is knock down tough shots and create space for his shooters. This isn’t a rental either like Kawhi since he is already signed for the remainder of his best years.

KD fizzled in the 1st round, what are you talking about

That said, I imagine the Celtics would be willing to depart with anyone but Tatum if KD was available.

Tatum was awful in the Finals so that’s what I’m talking about. Durant didn’t have the benefit of an elite supporting cast like Tatum.

anyone else think dallas should go full throttle to land irving in a s&t? as crazy as he is, if he's fully healthy he could be the perfect #2 star that doncic has been looking for. would obviously need to surround the two with appropriate players to compensate for their defensive shortcomings.

I honestly cant get enough of the Nets soap opera.

not necessarily true if that player is giannis, lebron, doncic, curry, lebron, durant, jokic caliber. in that case one player easily trumps team and culture.

however irving isn't in the same stratosphere as any of those guys and there is objective evidence that he actually makes teams worse. or at the very least that teams are not that much worse off if at all without him.

uh, they're both weak players who can't win without superteams and joining what in other eras would be considered rivals. hence the reason why they can never be taken seriously in the goat discussions.

Sounds like a whole bunch of nothing. I don't think KD gives a **** about Irving anymore TBH.

You're saying Durant wouldn't have fizzled in the Finals facing doubles like Tatum did, but he fizzled in the 1st round facing doubles. KD had an efg of 43% in the first round vs. 45% for Tatum in the Finals. So you clearly have no idea what you're talking about with your moronic hypothetical of how Durant would have done in the Finals.

It’s almost like basketball is a team sport that involves the quality of other players on the team besides one player. The Nets were missing Joe Harris and Ben Simmons. Imagine if the Celtics were missing Marcus Smart and Derrick White. They’d have been bounced in round 1.

It's almost like your stupid hypothetical was called out for being stupid, and so you deflect to....Ben Simmons and Derrick White? To spout an even dumber hypothetical?

Lol. Thanks for the chuckle. Have a good night.

Aww your feelings are hurt so now you have to resort to personal attacks. Nets were missing two starters and the Celtics were missing nobody, not sure how that is a hypothetical when its a fact.

If true, Nets handled this poorly.

Any season of them playing together could have got them a championship.

Whatever team gets KD ends up as a contender immediately.

durant remains spineless whoos of his era.

think about this....two reason why kd left were 1) play with his buddy 2) endeavor to correct the criricism of joining an already loaded ring team

so he joins the nets and his buddy immediately lets him and the nets down, basically forsaking them. as i understand it basketball means everything to kd and yet knowing how irresponsible kyrie he is willing to depart the nets if they mess with kyrie. in doing this no one will pat kd on the back for backing his flakey buddy but WOULD tear into him for making yet another really spineless choice

There was no personal attack. I called your hypotheticals stupid, which they were.

Robert Williams missed 2 games and played 30 minutes total in the series, by the way. So your facts are wrong and your various hypotheticals are stupid. Congrats, it's been an embarrassing few posts for you. I'm bored now, though, so bye.

What you meant to say is that Robert Williams got extra rest in the series with the Celtics, as they really had no need for him evidenced by sweeping an undermanned Nets squad. Simmons and Harris were incapable of playing the full series. Robert Williams was ready to go game 1 if needed, they had no urgency to rush him back, once again evidenced by easing him back and sweeping their opponent. You can convince yourself that Tatum is somehow a better playoff performer than Durant but most won’t sing the same praises.

Stop this ****. Raptors fans CHEERED when he went down. Own it. A classless act.

It was obviously in reaction to the turnover. They cheered when he went down but not because of his injury. I guess you would know better since you're all high and mighty though.

Yeah, that is exactly why the players needed to step in and shush them. Or why the people in front of the arena were cheering and waving goodbye.
Pathetic excuses, trash crowd.
