Sounds like a great kid with great measurements. That latest video looks like he has cleaned up his shooting mechanics. There is something there. Horst is due to hit on one of these.

Didn’t this kid also tear up the pre draft camp or am I misremembering that?

I like the pick, but I am going to be angry if Jovic turns out for Miami. He would have been a better fit and is at the same risk/reward ratio as Beauchamp imo.

Closer to 30 GLeague games

Do you have a source for that? Everything I keep finding says 12 games.

A lot of people I trust think this kid is going to be filthy defensively w/ Holiday. I don't think he sees the floor until he can improve his overall offensive game.

+1

Finally someone who's done some homework on the pick. He shot 40% on his 3s as a Freshman, so he has some type of shot. He should be fine.

He's a tough kid with good athleticism and length- damn that is gonna be nice to have on the wing.

Also like that he's not a teenager. He'll be 21 when the season starts. It wont take three years for him to contribute.

I think he sees the floor immediately. Defense lets people stick.

His defensive potential jumps out.

Beauchamp Horseman
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

The real issue with MarJon is he's just not that slippery. He doesn't have driving moves. He can back cut, he finishes on the break. He'll shoot just fine with NBA training. He just won't score with any volume. He compares himself to Mikal Bridges, and they're actually pretty similar.

Remember, many thought Bridges was a huge risk as a shooter. He's fine now.

You have to go to the RealGM game logs pages to see their full stats. GLeague ignite plays roughly 30 games against other GLeague teams but only 12 are officially part of the Ignite tour.

A sub 30% threat from deep would be borderline unplayable at the wing

It's okay. Thon Maker can't hurt us any more. You don't have to dig up our players' report cards from when they were 15 years old.

We had game threads full of people bitching at Bud to get our floor spacer Grayson Allen out of the game because he couldn't defend and he was shooting 28% from deep. You left out the important part.

It's not breaking news many want to add shooting. We struggled bad.

Sure, i'd love more shooting too but all shooters go through slumps. In the playoffs I'll take a guy who might be able to do other things to help the team if the shots aren't falling.

It was a 12 game sample size in community college. I sure hope you're right, but let's not overstate things either.

Definitely not a DJ Wilson 2.0. MarJon has 2 things DJ didn't. Heart and drive.

I really love Bridges’ game.

If we just got someone like him at 24, it’s the steal of the night.
