Wow! Even though u have seen what has played out on 3 different teams you really believe your team is gonna be the one to change him...jesus christ....how is it your magical heat are going to change him? You do realize he will quit on your team the moment he gets any kind of resistance from your team for his bad behavior. You clearly just don't get it

we dont accept that in miami... he will buy into to heat culture, or he will be pummelled by UD.

If Irving can walk away from Bron, what makes you think he will kneel to an old fart like UD?

irving is a thief and truly one of the most despicable athletes in sports. trying to steal money from rich owners without paying his dues. best thing the nets can do is rid themselves of this overpaid stat-stuffer who rarely has a winning impact on any team he plays for.

So u are gonna pull him huh? Well you can't pull away that 25mill plus off that cap sheet. He will cripple your team, and then be a cancer in the locker room.....you didn't think this out very well I see.

look.. i appreciate the concern... but the heat organization will deal with irving.. we will teach him Heat culture, and in turn will end in a couple of ships for all. Kyrie is already a champ, but we will take him to the next level... just like we took lebron to the next level... Lebron was a career loser, til he came to miami, and we made him a champ. Its wat we do in south beach.

I respect the crap out of the heat organization top to bottom.....but kyrie is a totally different animal then one of the best players to ever play basketball in LeBron James. LeBron shows up to work, doesn't have mental issues, and takes the game very seriously....kyrie is none of those things. Also,When was LeBron a team destroyer? Kyrie is on team number 3 he has left in disarray. No team can save this man child.

Are we pretending the Nets aren't going to cave here? They actually have a good squad. Kyrie, KD, Harris, Simmons, Curry etc. No reason they can't win a chip with the squad they have if they all buy in...Kyrie won't buy in though...Nets will still cave.

Woj reports Kyrie gives Nets list of potential sign-and-trade partners: Clippers, Knicks, Sixers, Heat, Lakers and Mavericks

I don't think any team that is serious about winning a championship should want to have anything to do with Kyrie. He's a good player, but super selfish, injury prone, and not good for cultivating a team first mindset. Durant on the other hand would help out a contender tremendously. Look at how the Celtics made the Finals after Kyrie left. They made the ECF without him in 2018 and in 2019 with Kyrie they regressed and lost in 5 in the 2nd round.

Kyrie is good enough to out-duel and out-perform a legend like Steph Curry in the NBA Finals so he's a little bit better than "a pretty good player." Kyrie can beat and embarrass Steph 1 on 1 any day of the week so you're sleeping on his credentials. In terms of talent, Kyrie is easily one of the most talented players in history.

Talented one on one scorer? Sure. Awesome to watch when he's cooking. Oozes talent. Really fun player.

Talented defender? Well. He's a good one on one scorer.

Talented point guard? Kind of. Amazing handle, but not amazing at running an offence or generating easy shots for others.

Glue guy? Culture builder? Heart and soul of a franchise? Team mates will bleed for him?

You kinda have to even out the very, very good and the pretty average with Kyrie.

He's been to the NBA finals 4 times and won a championship so you can't question his ability to be the type of winning teammate that can go to the finals and win.

He has proven that he can sacrifice and do whatever is asked of him in order to keep going to the finals and to keep winning. Ty Lue would often bench him and Kevin Love in 4th quarters because of their defense and he never complained about it. That's why Kyrie's trade demand blindsided Cleveland because he hadn't shown any outward signs of discontent since 2014.

So yes he can be a winner.

I think a man by the name of Lebron James had something to do with that. Yes he won a championship but make no mistake, he is not a winning player. We've seen enough out of Kyrie to know what he is: a very good offensive player, weak defender, egotistical, selfish, injury prone. What other player in NBA history has pulled the same shenanigans Kyrie did with Brooklyn? How would Jordan or Kobe react if a player on their team did that? I would go as far to say that Kyrie makes his teammates worse and is toxic in the locker room. He literally demanded to be traded from Cleveland after they made their 3rd consecutive Finals because he wanted to be the man. Lol

The Heat have won 3 championships in their short career on the backs of some very legitimate superstars. Unless you view Jimmy Butler in the same likes as peak Dwyane Wade and LeBron James, let's slow the jets down.

IS there anyone in NBA winning with teammates like LArry Hughes, PAvlovic, Varejo, Gibson... including Jordan? Those players apart from Lebron are not enough to get a player like peak Klay Thomson in a trade. Your logic is completely absurd...

LEbron beating Detroit(the team who would beat LA) and playinb finals is a far better acommplishment than Durant winning two titles after joining 73-9 GSW.

LOL. Lebron took one of the worst rosters ever to the finals before coming to Miami

So you're saying Jordan was a career loser before Pippen, Curry was a career loser before Kerr, and Jimmy Butler is still a career loser?

Weird argument.

Heat fans want Kyrie.
Opposing fans- why would you dare want such a malcontent!!

Lol just because you're unconfident in your organization to make it work doesn't mean we are. Heat just transformed a supposed locker room cancer and malcontent into a player most now respect and revere.

So if anyone can get Kyrie's head straight it's Riley, if Kyrie can't get on board in Miami then it's practically career suicide since its likely no other team attempts to ever put up with his mess.

Jimmy, Kyrie, Bam is finals bound and that's all Riley/Arison care about.

Miami will explore a potential trade here, but I am not convinced Riley offers Herro in a potential deal for only Irving. Miami has a reasonable shot at Beal who, while not being as talented as Irving, would be a much less risky acquisition.

Anyone trading for Irving is taking a risk on an unpredictable, potentially destabilized person. I'd be really surprised if any team were willing to give the Nets much beyond role players and a few protected picks/pick swaps, which would allow the Nets to recoup some of their lost draft capital.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of contract Irving ends up getting. It's hard to see anyone committing to anything beyond 2 years and a partial guarantee for a 3rd.
