2022 Draft night thread

Not a fan of the draft so far. Reaching for players either where there are similar alternatives available later or just reaching for that player in general. Moore mostly had a 2nd round grade

He was considered a first rounder in most of the sites I checked.

Moore might turn out to be better than some of those SG/SF taken from 10 on. I love the guy. He can shoot the hell out of it.

Connolly talked about get on base vs home run.
This is the part of the draft where its smarter to make the get on base pick, and Moore is that.
Very versatile, can shoot, defend, rebound, pass. Reminds me of the Tyus Jones pick Flip made, turned into a pretty decent role player.
Seems to be a high BBQ guy.

Like the pick, not necessarily the trade up. Have to see what exactly those 2nds we gave up are and if we still have 40,48,50,
because there are some players I definitely like there. Give me Alondes WIlliams and a legit PF.

Jaden McDaniels is our current PF. Maybe KAT can move to the PF if he ever shares the court with Kessler.

Probably a PF in free agency too.

CBS sports gave the Wolves an A+ for Kessler, but they gave about half the picks an A+ LOL. Here's the blurb they gave on him.

26. Minnesota Timberwolves (from Mavericks via Rockets): SF Wendell Moore, Duke

Moore proved a lot to me in his last year at Duke. He got significantly better. A recurring theme tonight is that 6-5 guys who can make shots are valuable. He can guard multiple positions, play multiple roles and offer good effort every night. Grade: B

yeah, he was more of a bring the ball up to feed the post than a true creator type PG

honestly, kind of a Beverly type would great outcome

nominally would be the "PG" but really is a complementary player for the star wing that offense really goes through
